With only a little over a week left until Christmas, I can finally say I'm done with all my decorating. I'm not sure why it took me so long this year, but there were a few setbacks and other things going on, so it was a very slow process. I hope you enjoy the tour. xoxo K.
I decided to add red into my decor this year and the tree in the living room is filled with red and white vintage ornaments along with some vintage clip-on candle holders. I placed it in an olive bucket sitting on an old sled.
If you'd like to see how I decorated my mantel this year you can go here.
I draped a cedar garland down the staircase this year.
I didn't get very many photos of my kitchen due to the lighting not ever being right, but here are a few.
Our second tree is sitting through the french doors in between our entry and dining room.
Mostly greens were added in this room and I love my French mangle cloth table runner on the table along with an old dough bowl filled with mercury glass candles, ornaments and pinecones along with some vintage green bottles filled with simple berries.
I made most of the ornaments hanging on this tree.
As we head upstairs to the bedroom you will find similar decor.
If you'd like to see more of my mannequinn with her angel wings, you can go here and to see more of the French tin tart ornaments that I made you can find them here.
And last, but not least is the bathroom to end the tour. You can see more by clicking here.
Well, I hope I didn't lose any of you and I'm still wanting to share a couple more vignettes around my home and a few outside photos as well. Thanks for joining me!

ReplyDeleteomg !!!! what to say...your home is simple, beautiful, cozy, fresh, charming,...awesome...did I say beautiful!!!!! love the simple touches of red, mercury glass, ironstone......your home is just right...not too stark, not too cluttered.........simply beautiful! Thanks for sharing and Merry Christmas !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely
ReplyDeleteA Christmas dream ~ everything is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteKristen, everything is beautiful! Can you tell me about your experiences with fresh garland? I love the garland adorning your bannister - can you tell me what it is? It drapes so beautifully. When do you typically put fresh garland up and do you do anything to keep it fresh? I decided to try it this year, but I put it up about a week ago and it is already starting to get crispy and it's looking pretty sad. I put lights in it, so even though they are indoor/outdoor, I didn't want to risk spritzing it with water. I'm guessing that if you wish to use fresh greenery, decorating weeks ahead of time isn't an option - do you find that to be the case?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Kaille
Your home is so, so lovely!! Your use of greens throughout your home is absolutely stunning!! Perfectly appointed.
ReplyDeleteMary Alice

Very soft and subtle, and yet so homey and inviting! I would love to have a cup of tea in this home! (Well, in a way I did! Without leaving my own home!)
ReplyDeleteIts beautiful and feels so french country living. Are the chairs around your dining table the new linen ones from World Market? Or maybe they are vintage. The red really adds Christmas to your gentle palette.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Kathleen!
