~Hydrangea Heaven~

I'm hoping my summer is going to be slowing down now that it's almost August.  Things have just been so busy around here and I'd love to enjoy some lazy days of Summer before it's over!

I finally had some time to pick up my camera again, just in time for these beauties to be blooming. Enjoy! xoxo K

Hydrangeas are one of my favorites growing in the garden right now.  I don't have that many different varieties but might be planting more if I can find a good shady area to put them.
I cut these a little earlier than I normally would due to the excessive heat we've been having this Summer  which is making them wilt.

My office got a little facelift with these pretty blooms in a vintage green glass bottle.

I hope you are enjoying your Summer!

  4. Your dining-room is so beautiful. I love hydrangeas, too, but lost mine due to our excessive rain and hot sun this summer. I'll have to try again next year. Now I am looking forward to the gladiolus. I love your beautiful hutch. Deb

  5. Beautiful hydrangeas!! I only got 3 blooms on mine this year...they are pink and huge. I'm thinking about cutting them and bringing them inside, because it has been really hot here in Ohio.

  6. I am a self-proclaimed hydrangea nut. So much so that I've lost count of all our hydrangea bushes! And I've posted about hydrangeas so many times I bet my readers thinks I'm crazy! Yours are gorgeous - enjoy!

  8. I love Hydragea's too. Mine are doing pretty good--but the ones that get a little more sun than the others are started to get burned edges. This heat we have been having in the Pacific Northwest is crazy! Stay cool. :)

  12. It's always wonderful to see into your beautiful home Kathleen! Your hydrangeas are the prettiest color. I think you know that I can only grow the white ones here in my part of Idaho (except as an annual in pots) and so it's so nice to see yours.
