~A Place to Hang your Bag~

Have you ever seen a one of a kind item in a store and instantly fall in love with it only to realize it's priced a little high and you really don't have a place for it so you reluctantly walk away?  That's what happened to me with this wonderful white and chippy scrolly white iron stand.

I literally couldn't stop thinking about it because it was so unique and one night while lying in bed I realized I had the perfect spot for this beauty after all.  A few weeks had passed, so I was happy to see it was still at the store when I went back and I was even luckier because there was a sale going on.  Enjoy!  xoxo K

It's perfect in my bedroom for holding bags and would work great for other things like scarves, jackets a robe etc...  I think this piece helps to complete this area and you can see the other side of my bedroom HERE.

I also moved this table and chair from my office in this room because I'm changing things around in there and I like how the wood on this piece looks better in my bedroom.  This tufted chair from World Market is still one of my favorites.♥♥♥

Since flowers were buy one get one half off at Fred Meyers last week, I decided to try these hydrangeas again and by using the Allum trick that I've seen on Pinterest they lasted a whole week without withering.  Changing the water daily helps too.

Looks like rain today but then clearing up and sunny and 70 degrees through the weekend. Sounds wonderful!

  6. I don't know what kind of a store it was where you found the hat stand that you had to have, but if it was an antique store, I would have made an offer on it. Many stores are authorized to accept a certain amount of a discount and can give it on the spot. Others can present the request to their sellers for consideration. Be reasonable in your offer so as not to offend anyone. It never hurts to ask.

  20. Hi Kathleen, wnderful coat rack, a rarer find, love it's aged old feel it's just so darn perfect, I had one yet gave it up in my shop darn after seeing yours it makes me wish I had mine. The metal sette patio sofa looks so sweetly rustic cottage at the foot of your bed and a comfy spot to read a great book or magazine.

    See you soon dear.

  22. You have changed my life! I'm posting to this particular day because April 14th was my 60th birthday and I believe in "coincidence". For years, I have seen my decorating style as bohemian, shabby chic, cowboy. Lots of color and texture with nothing really going together. Your blog is so calming and exactly what I needed to inspire me into this next stage of my life. You are amazingly talented and THANK YOU for taking the time to share that talent!
