~Surrounded by Wisteria Blooms~

We've been having some beautiful weather here in the PNW lately and any spare minute I have you will find me sitting on my porch enjoying the intoxicating fragrance from these wisteria blooms.

This vine has completely  grown across the front porch of our house now and when in bloom it is simply beautiful and even without the blooms it provides much needed shade from the hot afternoon sun in the Summer.  Enjoy! xoxo K.

I had to share this photo of our cat, Gracie.  Usually she runs off if I'm doing anything on the porch, but this day she must have been really tired because she couldn't even be bothered to open her eyes.  Our cats just love the cushions on these chairs...all three of them!

I'm really loving purple flowers this year and just finished planting all kinds of varieties in my pots on the patio and can't wait til they are all in full bloom.
Schools coming to end and I'll be spending the day today with my youngest daughter's 8th grade class on their beach trip before they graduate to one of my favorite towns, Seaside.  It looks like the sun might even be shining too...yay!
I wanted to thank Jennifer from The Old Painted Cottage for featuring our home on her Cottage of the Month series for June.

And I'm featured "On the Back Porch" with Anita from Cedar Hill Farmhouse, too!  Thank you Anita:-)

  8. We have a large old wisteria on campus and it looks so lovely when it is blossoming. It has already gone through one blossoming and will do another in a few weeks as it always seems to do it twice a year. Wish it would last longer. The golden rain is another that is lovely when in bloom.

  14. Gorgeous! My bff cut her Wisteria out and dug it up last year! I couldn't believe it!! It was really going gangbusters and she was afraid that it would come in her house and grab her toilet paper right off the roll! Lol. It was beautiful!!

  16. Your Wisteria is stunning, there is a beauty to Wisteria that never escapes your memory, the drape of it, it's scent and it's amazing shade of purple. No wonder Gracie is taking a cap nap - who could blame her dreaming under a porch cover and canopy of Wisteria. Heck I'd love to take a nap there too.
Lovely June spotlight on The Old Painted Cottage. Your house is amazing.

  32. I have always loved Wisteria but I don't have a place to grow it. Maybe in the future when I build a shed I can have it grown up along one of the sides. Yours is beautiful!
