~Trophies~

I decided to group all my vintage trophies together on my mantel at Christmas time and liked how they look, so I'm keeping them there for a while.

It has been so cold and foggy here lately that when I went to the grocery store the other day and saw these cheery pink and cream roses and tulips, I decided to splurge and brought them home with me to add to these trophies. Sometimes a girl just needs a pick me up when the weather is  getting her down, don't you think?  Enjoy! xoxo K.

Added a few pinecones in here as well.

I wish I had more of these silver lovelies, but I just don't see them for a reasonable price anymore.

I was thrilled when Kris from Junk Chic Cottage asked me to be her Spotlight Feature today on her blog.  Head on over and you can get to know a little bit more about me.

Also, I'd like to thank Brenda over at Color my Decor for doing a nice post of my home on her blog.

  5. Love, love, love them. I could kick myself because I saw one at a garage sale and it was not expensive at all… I think about that moment when I walked away a lot. Ha!

  8. I was just over at Kris' reading your feature, Kathleen! Very nice post and I enjoyed learning more about you. Your trophies look great all grouped together on your mantel. I almost bought some tulips myself at the grocery store earlier this week, but didn't. I was glad to see them though. Gives me some hope as we sit through another round of snow and freezing temps!

  17. Hi Kathleen,
When trophy collecting years ago became the big look, I so wanted to start collecting, although my friends seem to find them I am never in the right place or right time to find them, or at lease one of them. I do find great dad ones in plastics, or bowling champ! Lol but never those old zinc or plated ones of chic beauty.
Yours my friend charm your mantel beautifully, and love the fresh cuts added to them.

A beautifully inspiring week to you!
The judges out here give you the winning trophy for best trophy mantel!
