~White & Chippy~

Good morning!  I wanted to share a couple sneak peeks of some chippy whites I'll have at the Junk Salvation show this weekend before I get everything packed up.  Enjoy! xoxo K.

This primitive set of drawers is one of my favorite pieces.  Love how some of the handles are old rusty nails.

I've been going through my stash of architectural pieces to share with you.

And my friend Shellagh from Ticking and Toile will have some of her linens and bedding to add to my booth.  I love this chair slipcover she made for me.

I've gots lots more great junk for sale so I hope to see you this weekend. If you're coming to the show, please stop by and say "hi"!  I'm in the same spot as last year.  And don't forget to print your coupon.

~The Ladies~

Well I might not be completely ready for the upcoming show Junk Salvation, but these two ladies are ready to make their appearance.  There is just something that a mannequin adds to the look of a booth display that I love!  And really, can you have too many?  I think not!

I'm still working away over here and only have one week left.  Hope to see you there and remember to print a coupon for $ 1 off entry fee.  Enjoy! xoxo K.

Not only do these ladies add to the look of a display, but they are perfect to display things on, like these necklaces that my daughter makes out of odds and ends.  There will be some of these at the Show and maybe even an apron or two if you are looking for a more modest lady:-)

~Chalkboard Love~

I'm posting tonight about my love for chalkboards, especially ones made from used items.  When Donna at Funky Junk announced she is doing a "chalkboard crazy" theme tonight for SNS, I knew I wanted to share one I've made from an old cabinet door.

I've been working on items for my upcoming show, Junk Salvation and will have a couple of these for sale there. It is coming up fast and I added a coupon at the end of this post for $1 off admission on Saturday.  The show is Friday, February 1st 6-9 and Saturday, February 2nd 10-4.  If you are in the area you don't want to miss this one!

I mentioned in a previous post that I had moved my french bottle rack into the dining room.  One of my chalkboards propped behind it makes a nice vignette.  I had wine on my mind since I made pizza for dinner. Enjoy!  xoxo

I added some jute to the hinge on this old cabinet door and tied some chalk on the end for easy access.  I decided to add a couple of my tulips from my kitchen post to one of my petite french bottles since as you can see they have opened up and are almost done.

Another thing I wanted to share with you is this lovely chair that I bought last week at, of all places, Costco.  I decided to walk down the sofa isle, since I really want new furniture in my living room and am so glad I did because I spotted this beauty and for cheaper than I've seen this kind of chair anywhere else:)

Make sure you print this coupon if you are heading to the Junk Salvation show and I will also post it on my sidebar and Facebook page as well.

~Tulips in the Kitchen~

Tulips remind me of Spring and after a week of below freezing temps and foggy dreary days, I'm ready for it!  So when I was at the grocery store and tulips were on sale, I grabbed some to place in the trophy in my kitchen to help brighten my day.

I shared the breakfast area of our kitchen last week and thought I'd show you the other side today since I've added and moved things around on my countertops.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I started some hyacinth bulbs in ironstone containers and this shows some in a gravy boat sitting in my wire dish drainer.  Can't wait til they bloom:-)

This is what you see coming into the kitchen while walking down the hall from the laundry room.

And this area is the other side as you are heading toward the dining room.

~Primitive Pie Cupboard~

Between putting all my Christmas decor away and getting ready for a sale the first weekend in February, I've been changing a few things around my home.  I usually go through things and decide what to keep and what to sell.  This primitive screened pie safe is definetly a keeper!

I've wanted one of these for a while now and felt that it looked right at home in my breakfast room.  The french wine bottle rack got moved into the dining room for now.

I went through a cupboard in my kitchen and changed out all the pitchers for my brown transferware which was sitting on my architectural shelf collecting dust.  They look better in the cupboard anyway and I'll share what I've changed around in my kitchen in another post.  Enjoy! xoxo K.

I've added a couple shots of the whole room since I wanted to update the photos from my sidebar on this room.

Antlers replaced the greens and pinecones in my large wooden bowl.

Here are a couple more shots as you are heading into the dining room.

Loving these french cafe latte bowls mixed with the pitchers.  Linking with Donna @ Funky Junk for SNS
