I am always inspired by nature while decorating my home, especially this time of year. There are so many different elements that can be used to create a vignette. Keeping with my neutral palette I just added some pheasant feathers in a white pitcher, an antler, rock coasters and a botanical bird print to this table in the corner of my dining room to create a new look for Fall. Enjoy! xoxo K.
I was first introduced to nature by my Dad as a child with our many hiking and camping trips. He loves to be out in the woods and has developed a strong connection with fossils lately and he gave us these fossilized rock coasters that he made. The pheasant feathers are also from him.
My husband is also a huge lover of nature and you really can't help but love it living where we live being surrounded by it daily.
This botanical bird print is perfect for this area and is from a book given to me by my sister, so this little corner area reminds me of, not only nature, but family as well.

So beautiful!! I love to bring natural elements onto my home as well. I love the empty frame with the vintage bird page just tacked to the wall. I saw a lovely backless frame at Goodwill the other day and left it there because I didn't know what to do with it. Ack! Now I have to run and see if it is still there!

You have a wonderful eye for creating such tasteful vignettes and I love the soothing palette. I'm a huge fan of nature inspired design. When I saw the aquarium in the 2nd pic (I'm assuming that is what it is) . . . WOW . . . what a super repurpose. I've repurposed old fish bowls before but not an aquarium! I have at least one in storage that I could experiment with! :-)
