~Harvesting Sunflowers~

Yesterday morning was one of those perfect Fall days where the sun comes and goes behind the clouds and the wind is blowing all the leaves around. Unfortunately, by afternoon, the rain had come back, but I was able to harvest some of the last of my sunflowers. Enjoy! xoxo K.

These sunflowers are a smaller variety and perfect for bouquets in the house and this French basket works wonderfully to hold them as I'm cutting them from the stalks.

I've had this enamel top table outside of our garden to use when harvesting flowers and vegetables.  It's a perfect spot for setting these items before bringing them inside. The bistro chair is one of a pair that I bought this Summer.

The Garden House sits just beyond this table and is coming along nicely with the sink now installed and all the galvanized tin up on the walls.  I can't wait to share more of the inside when the Holidays arrive.  My son recently had his Senior pictures taken and some of them have it in the background.  They turned out great and will always have a special meaning since he helped to build it.

Have a wonderful week!

  20. Your photography is wonderful. Sunflowers are usually wonderful subject matters--unless of course they droop too much!!
Would love for you to see where I placed the french enamel number plates I bought from your lovely etsy shop. I put them over moss covered planters and they have sat on my back porch all summer and will sit there all fall. I could not be more happy with them. I have received so many admiring compliments! Thank you for contributing to my home decor.
