~Patio Living~

I'm trying to get back into the swing of blogging more often again and have lots to share especially outside since it's Summer, but finding the time is the problem.  Today I'd like to share some photos of our patio where we spend most evenings eating dinner and just hanging out.

I recently got a larger table so we can all sit at one place and it will be better for when we have company over.  I put one of my World Market umbrellas that I use when I do shows in the middle ofthe table t o use during the days when the sun is too hot out and I really like the softness it brings to my patio. Interesting how one item can sometimes change the look of an entire area. Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I also added some of the Ikea cushions from inside that I love just for the photos since I liked the softness they added to this area as well.  I wish I could have cushions out here all the time, but the furry critters around here don't understand that I don't appreciate muddy paw prints and hair all over them.

The patio has mostly black wrought iron furniture with metal planters and statuary.  I also love how my whiskey barrels are looking this year all full with the jasmine, ferns and white petunias.

The arbor and fence along the grass are just metal parts that I had picked up over the years and my husband put them together for me to add some heigth. I'd like to add some boxwoods along the grass someday.

I would like to say Thank you to not only Abitare Country magazine for featuring my home in their July/August issue, but to Rita from Rita's Shabby Chic Rose for sending me a copy.  I could view it digitally, but wanted the real thing and she helped me out with that.  Thanks again, Rita.  I really appreciate it!

I adore anything white and soft and romantic. Enjoy the rest of the summer. It goes bt way toooo fast! I work at a retail store, and we are getting in harvest and haloween merchandise this Friday. Yikes!
