~Hydrangeas~

Good morning.  I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and enjoying Summer as much as I am.  We're still having beautiful weather which is perfect for growing these beauties.

Hydrangeas, don't you love them?  These blooms are from a bush that I've had for many years and they used to be more pink and then turn to a burgandy color when Fall came, but now there seems to be more purple blooms with only a few pink ones mixed in.  No matter their color, they are a timeless bloom.  Enjoy! xoxo K.

I placed some in a French zinc body pitcher and set them on a white metal table I have out near the garden.

I'm having my family over this weekend for my Mom's 70th birthday so I've been busy getting my outside areas cleaned up and looking nice.

This last photo shows a glimpse of The Garden Shed in the background which, I'm hoping, after the party I'll have some time to work on.  We still have a few things to finish up in there before I can move everything in and have it functional.

  2. Lovely! I am just starting to become a fan of hydrangeas...no idea why....guess I've always been a late bloomer. Literally!

    Your photos are lovely.

I wonder if you have a different type than I ... your petals are slightly different. Mine are a little more rounded. I will have to research this now. :)

  4. I am so envious of those beautiful blooms. My hydrangea despises me. However last week she had produced a few quite pretty blooms. Unfortunately a terrible storm blew through and a limb took them out! Have a wonderful family get together.
