I had mentioned that last week I cut some branches from my forsythia bush to bring in the house and force them to bloom. Well, it only took three days to get this profusion of bright, cheery yellow blooms.
I love how they just brighten up this corner in my bedroom and this is what I see when I wake up in the morning. It helps me to get up and get going with my day(not sure if I have ever mentioned that I am NOT a morning person). Enjoy! xoxo K.
My mannequin seems pretty happy herself, adorned with french rosaries. Some of which will befor sale in my Etsy store...coming soon. I have been working on taking photos of everything and my kids will be home for Spring Break next week which will allow me more time to be home and get it all up and running:-)
Enjoy your week! This post is dedicated to my friend, Z who loves forsythia.

ReplyDeleteLove the forsythia. How cool that you have it in your garden. Nothing like that grows here....oh well.
ReplyDeleteOh my how it just sings spring! Love the way it highlights the sepia tones of this corner of your home!...Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLove the forced forsythias in the spring time. I also forced some but I don't know what I was thinking because I only cut about 6 branches. Pretty sparse. They still were pretty and are now growing big green shoots so I still have them. I love your bedroom and what a sight to wake up to those bright yellow blooms.
