If you've followed my blog for a while, you already know that I like to collect anything with a time worn patina. I was able to get out and go junking this past weekend and found some great things. I also found another collection without even trying.....I've been drawn to crocks for many years now, but just recently fell in love with these jugs!
There is something about their shape and I love how this trio looks together and I placed a few of the tulips my husband gave me for Valentine's Day inside one of them before they were all wilted. I bought these beauties to sell, but they might just have to hang out in my house for a while until my next show and then I'll decide. Enjoy! xoxo K.
Another great find was this large pizza board that I bought to set on top of my wicker trunk that I use as a coffee table in my living room, but it's actually too big and the handle sticks out which I figured could be dangerous if it got bumped all the time. For now it will reside on my table with the jugs.

I adore these jugs, Kathleen!! They are just awesome, and look great on the pizza board! I don't think I could part with them...at least not for awhile. Love the contrast of the delicate tulips with the heaviness of the jugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your loveliness!

Time worn is my favorite. Can see why you are crazy about the jugs, they have such lovely lines and the pairing of the white tulips softens their utilitarion edges. Great photos.

ReplyDeleteI found beautiful old crock in my mom's garage. It was just waiting to be found by me. :) I filled it with beautiful white roses and put it on my blanket box at the end of my bed. Things like that make me so happy.

Kathleen,
ReplyDeleteYour pottery jugs are just right for your country kitchen. I especially like your corner cupboard in the background. How lucky you are to have it.

ReplyDeleteI love the white jugs . I would keep them around for a while also.
I found a huge crock bowl in my storage room yesterday that would match them. Think I'll set it on the table for a while ,
The shapes are very organic with feminine curves. Pretty!
