~Happy New Year~

I've enjoyed spending some quality time with my family over the holiday break and had a little time today to do a post wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

Time......where does it go?  The years seem to fly by and I always feel like I can't get much done lately.  I have many plans and ideas for 2013 and will try to accomplish as much as I can in the year ahead.

I feel blessed with everything in my life especially in these times of uncertainty and will be going into the new year with lots of hope for better times:-)

May all of your hopes and dreams come true in 2013!

~Holiday Home Tour 2012 & A Linky Party~

I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season so far and with only 4 more days until Christmas it has flown by as usual.  I love decorating for this time of year and would like to give you a tour of our home.  I'm also adding a Linky Party so any of you who would like to share your home all decked may do so as well.  Please feel free to link up any previous Christmas related posts from this year as I'm a little late getting mine up:-)

I've already shown a few smaller vignettes in my house, so in these photos I've tried to show larger areas of each room....there are quite a few photos, so you might want to grab a cup of coffee before you sit down.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I mentioned in a previous post that we usually get our trees from our own property and this year we had a harder time finding one to fit the space.  It needed to be really skinny and that's what we got!  A tall and skinny charlie brown tree....not perfect, but we like it:-)

I made all the burlap stockings last year and you can see a couple more little charlie brown trees planted in my urns.

I recently found this wonderful old sled and it fit nicely next to the tree.

My kitchen area is simple with just some added greens, a rosemary tree and a wreath hanging from the chalkboard.

As you head into the dining room from the kitchen you will see my mannequin decked out in her angel wings and I also placed another tree in an old wooden basket with a handle and wheels.

And last, but not least, my bedroom with all of it's festive touches.

I hope you enjoyed the tour and I will be linking up with Donna at Funky Junk and Common Ground

~Christmas on the Porch~

We woke up this morning to our first snowfall this Winter.  Perfect timing since I had added some Christmas cheer to the porch of  our potting shed over the weekend.  The outside of this building is mostly done and I'm so happy with how it turned out.  Now the weather needs to work it's charm on the boards so it becomes that wonderful gray color we all love:-)

Most of the snow had melted by the time I got out there to snap a few photos, but you can still see some in the background.  Enjoy! xoxo K.

I really like how the wreath I got at Trader Joe's looks hanging from this old sled.

This cherub statue holding an urn was once a part of a fountain.  It fits nicely by the door holding a small tree.  Another tree fit perfectly into an old wattering can.  I don't know why I love the quirky misshaped trees, but I do!

Enjoy your week and I'll be back toward the end of it with my home tour and linky party.

~Oh Christmas Tree~

I was able to find a little time to get the christmas tree in my bedroom decorated and wanted to share with you.  We don't usually have a traditional perfectly shaped tree in our home and this year was no exception.  Both of our trees were cut from our property and couldn't be more different from each other.

This one is short and fat at the bottom which was perfect for this corner in my bedroom sitting in my french olive bucket.  The lighting wasn't good for taking photos of our other tree which is in the living room, but it is tall and skinny....very charlie brown looking, which is just the way I like it.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I ended up using mostly white ornaments on this tree.  Angel wings, crystal prisms with french paper, some that I made last year with photos from old french prayer cards and vintage balls.

The Jeanne d' arc ornaments from the branches in my living room were moved and added to this tree since they fit the look I have going so much better in my bedroom.  I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and I'm hoping to finish up all my decorating so I can take photos of my whole house.  I just hope the sun comes out because it's hard to get good photos this time of year when it is so dark and dreary outside.

Sharing with Funky Junk Interiors.

Also, my thoughts and prayers go out to all the families who lost loved ones today in the horrible tragedy at the elementary school in Conneticut.  As a mother of three children I just can't imagine how devastating this would be. May God bless everyone in that community.
