~Orange Pumpkins~

I don't really decorate much for Halloween anymore since my kids are older.  I used to do quite a bit on my porch with pumpkins they had carved, gourds in metal baskets and corn stalks and would take a picture of them in their costumes each year....good memories:-)  We live 20 minutes from the closest town, so needless to say, we don't get many trick or treaters and I just didn't have the desire to decorate my porch this year.

We didn't grow any pumpkins in our garden and I only bought a couple white ones, but when I saw a bag of these five tiny little guys for just $2 I couldn't resist how cute they were or the price. They ended up under a cloche with a few small books that sits on a chippy white capital in my dining room and I like the added touch of color.  I thought I would share over at Funky Junk for her Halloween party tonight.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

~A Pair of Chippy White Urns~

I found some fabulous chippy white urns recently and decided to put them on either side of my mantel where I had my cherubs for a while.  I figured they would be great for the holidays and look good now holding a couple white pumpkins for Fall.

I can picture a couple trees at Christmas as well.  They have such great detail with curvy arms and are the perfect amount of chippy white!  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I'll be linking up with Becky at Timewashed for the start of her new "white" party Blissful Whites Wednesday. Please hop on over and check it out or link up some of your favorite whites.  Tell her I sent you and enjoy the rest of your week:-)

~Rose Hips~

Another beautiful day here in the PNW and since most of my flowers are done blooming for the year I like to cut some of the rose hips that grow along our road to bring inside.

I love the petite pink blooms these roses get in the Spring and then this beautiful orange rose hip will show up in the Fall.  They will have more of a red color as winter hits.  I wish I had the patience to make these into a wreath because they are so beautiful that way as well.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I think their color fits in nicely on this table in the corner of my laundry room next to my mannequin in one of my  french galvanized pitchers:-)

~Angel Wings and a New White Party~

After getting through a blustery weekend and being without power yesterday I'm able to get a new post up.  I was lucky enough to win a wonderful giveaway from Susan at Evelyn and Rose recently.

The package arrived in the mail last week and I couldn't wait to tear into the box and see her lovely handmade angel wings......aren't they beautiful?  She sells them in her Etsy store if any of you need a pair for yourself:-)

I knew I would have many places in my home to hang them and took a few photos of a couple places in my living room to share with you.  I also received a copy of the newest Somerset Life magazine in which Susan has an article.  Thank you Susan.....I love both items!

On another note, I was contacted by Becky at Timewashed asking if I could help her get the word out about a new"white" party she will be starting on October 24th called Blissful Whites Wednesday.  Becky is a very talented lady with a lovely blog and Etsy store and I think all of you out there missing my party each week will love to join in with her from now on to get your white fix:-)  You can go to her blog post HERE to get all the details and help get the word out.  I will be posting about it on my Facebook page HERE and you can "share" my post if you'd like or do one of your own.

I also want to thank everyone again for all your supportive comments lately and want to  tell you that letting go of the WW linky party truly has been a stress relief for me and I look forward to joining in on Becky's new party whenever I have a chance.

Sunflowers are such a happy flower and these are some of the last flowers to still be blooming in my garden.

I was out working and decided to cut some and add them with some leaves that are turning color.  I put them in a french galvanaized pitcher on the basket used as a coffee table in my living room.  i like the added pop of color. Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I needed something with more of a flat surface on this basket and am on the lookout for a large french cutting board, but in the meantime this weathered french crate will work and looks great in this room.

I also wanted to mention that I finally started a Facebook page so if any of you want to start "liking" me over there you can go here or I do have a button on my sidebar:-)

~Potting Shed Inspiration~

I found my first white pumpkin this week and bought some pansies to plant in pots on my porch and patio as well.  I decided to set up a little vignette with some items that I've been collecting for my potting shed that my husband's cousin, himself and our son have been building for me.

Here is a photo of it how it looks right now and they are hoping to get the roof on this weekend before the heavy rains come.

This sketch is something I found on Pinterest of the look I was going for.  The front area will be my potting/garden area and the back will be storage for all my "junk".  It will be so nice to have everything in one area and not scattered all around.  I will continue to share with you as it progresses, but in all reality probably won't have it finished until Spring.

I'm wanting a gray, weathered wood, galvanized look for this area and have been collecting items for a while now.  The background in these photos is of another small outbuilding we have and my potting shed will be covered in similar  wood as well that will hopefully fade and weather into this wonderful gray with a galvanized roof.
The metal folding table with wood slats is one of my favorites and I have two metal chairs to go with it as well.  Bird cages and houses along with watering cans all put together have such a wonderful look.

I had purchased this new huge drying rack a couple years ago on clearance and just recently spray painted it with Rustoleum Hammered silver paint to give it a galvanized look which I'm hoping in time will start to look old and it's the perfect place to hang pots especially these old french zinc their patina!

I will be linking up with my lovely friend, Debra for her Fall Inspired VIF party.
