~Living Room Revisited~

I want to start this post by saying that I was overwhelmed with all the encouragement and support that I received from all your comments on my last White Wednesday post.  You don't know how it helped me to realize that the difficult decision I made was for the best and how much doing it had really touched each of you in your way.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart and this is really what I enjoy about blogging.  I'm still in the process of replying to all your comments as time allows:-)

I have been wanting to paint my living room walls for some time now and I can finally mark that off my "to do" list.  I completely rearranged everything in there as well, using only things I already had.  I'd really like new furniture, but that will have to wait for now.

I was a little rushed to get photos in time for Donna @ Funky Junk's Picture Perfect Room party tonight and my camera does not have a wide angled lens, but I think you can get the idea.  I love how it turned out and the walls and new curtains make it bright and airy allowing more light in.   Enjoy!  xoxo K.

The basket is french and makes the perfect coffee table.

This cupboard is where we keep our TV and stereo.

I moved my stacked benches to another wall and added two lamps for more lighting.

~White Wednesday # 171~

Mums always remind me of the change in seasons which is what is happening with the weather lately.  I'm also experiencing some changes in my life and as a result my blog will be going through change as well.  It is with a heavy heart that this will be my last White Wednesday post and link party.

My heart has not been in it for a while now and I've kept if going for all of you out there and had been contemplating finishing up the year and then stopping, but a few things have happenend lately that made me realize it has become more of a burden than something I love.  At times, even stressful and I want to focus more on my family right now.

I had no idea when I started this that it would grow to be what it did and will forever be grateful for the friendships I've made and the inspiration I've gained from all of you.  I've been told many times by some of you the very same thing, so I feel it has surved it's purpose and now it is time to move on.

When one door closes, another opens and I hope you will continue to follow me on my journey with this little blog.  I still have lots of projects and  am contniually changing things in my home to share.  I have just finished painting my living room and am excited to show you, hopefully later this week.  I have also been working on opening an Etsy store so I have hopes this will allow me more time for that in the near future.

Even as I type, I feel a sense of relief and am excited to post when and what I want and not have the pressure that this party has brung at times .  I don't like to let people down, but truly hope everyone will understand my situation.   Thanks to everyone of you who have supported me and my blog over the years.  It has been an amzing experience! xoxo K.

~Adding a Touch of Fall to my Table~

With the first day of Fall being tomorrow and the weather here the last couple days being cloudy and drizzly, I wanted to change up my dining room table.  It all started with a lovely table runner made from a roll of french tea towel fabric that I purchased this Summer.  I love the brown stripes on it and still have lots of this fabric and am wanting to make more runners and towels to sell when I get a chance.

I then added this french wood crate to the center and added some dried hydrangeas along with a bowl of pears.  I've been stopping at the local produce stand by my daughter's school lately to pick up fruits and vegetables and since we don't have any pear trees, these sounded so yummy.  I think they also photograph very nicely as well.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I will will be linking this post to Donna @ Funky Junk's SNS table runners party she is hosting:-)

~White Wedensday # 170~

We've been enjoying a beautiful indian summer here in the PNW and I'm loving it!  I still have some Queen Anne's Lace blooming here  and there around our property and decided to bring some inside to enjoy  before it's all gone.

I love this old fashioned flower with it's intricate blooms and really liked how it looked inside this bottle sitting beside my sink in the kitchen.  Enjoy! xoxo K.

I'd like to take a moment on today's post to address some concerns I've had lately regarding this WW link party.  I've noticed more and more non white related posts being linked up each week.  Since this is a specific themed party, I'd appreciate it if only "current white" posts be entered and feel there are plenty of other link parties out there for all other posts.  If I notice any links that don't fit the criteria, I do have the option to delete them, but quite frankly am really busy with my family right now and don't have the time so please be respectful of what is linked up so that everyone who comes here on Wednesdays to get their white fix can have an enjoyable experience.  Also, I would appreciate it if you do link up that you kindly add my blog name and link somewhere on your post.  Thank you and I look forward to all the creamy white inspiration most of you bring to the party each week especially with the holidays coming up:-)

~Cafe Curtains~

I've been wanting some cafe curtains for above my window seat in my kitchen for a while now, but just never saw any to buy anywhere.  One day while using one of the towels I had bought from Sheila at Tattered Goods a thought came to me.  I held it up to the window and it fit perfectly and I love the added simple ruffle at the bottom.

I emailed Sheila and asked if I could buy two plain ones from her with no graphics.  I had originally thought I was going to sew some ties to the top and tie them onto the rod, but never had the time and had remembered her telling me she used cafe clips for some of her curtains. While at Walmart last week, I came across the clips and finally got my curtains hung.  Just in time too, since Donna at Funky Junk is hosting unique window treatments tonight for her SNS party.    I like how they turned out and the fact that they still allow light to come through.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I'll also be linking with Debra for VIF and Courntey for Feathered Nest Friday

If you haven't been to Sheila's blog before and like this idea you better hop on over.  She has many graphics you could use also:-)

~White Wednesday # 169~

I was lucky to find a few french treasures this past weekend.  These rosaries were my favorite.  Some of which are mother of pearl which we love so much. Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I placed them on my mannequin when I got home so they wouldn't get all tangled and decided they look pretty good so they might stay awhile.  Now I have to decide if I should sell them...ohhhh, I wish I didn't want to keep everything I buy, but look at these beauties!!

These wonderful french books were another great find and who cares if I can't read them, they look great especially with a rosary hanging against that pretty blue(azur, I think) color.

I also want to send my heartfelt sympathy to all those who lost loved ones eleven years ago today.  I'm sure we all remember where we were and what we were doing that horrible morning that changed so many lives.  God Bless!
