~An Unexpected Gift~

I received an email a while back from Becky at Timewashed saying she'd like to send me a gift since I had featured her blog and she really appreciated me hosting White Wednesday every week.  It made me happy that I can touch someone's life through this little blog of mine and it was so thoughtful of her that I wanted to share what I received from this sweet, talented lady.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I decided to set up a vignette with all the goodies I recieved mixed with some of my silver pieces.

The lavender sachet smells heavenly and the pears are so precious.  I even loved the note she sent along with this package.

I'm showing two out of six silver napkin rings which I needed more of, so they were perfect!!  Becky has an Etsy store which you can visit through her site and another blog called One Joyful Soul which I really enjoyed reading through....Thanks so much Becky for your thoughtfulness:-)

My limelight hydrangeas are all in bloom right now and I will be sharing more photos of them for WW this week.

~White Wednesday #167~

I had a wonderful day on Saturday at the Camas Vintage Street Faire and many of my treasures went to new homes.  The weather was beautiful and the setting in this little historic area of Camas was the perfect venue.  I'd like to thank everyone who came out and bought some of my things.  I'll leave you with my favorite vignette in my booth.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I can't believe this is the last week before my kids head back to school.  Summer always goes by way too quickly.  We are already busy with volleyball since my daughter Nichole, who is a freshman this year, made the team.  I am so proud of her and here she is helping me on Saturday:-)

~White Wednesday # 166~

I wanted to share these impatients that I have planted with some hen and chicks in a pot nestled in this cherub statuary while they are still around.  They are doing great this Summer with lots of pretty white blooms.

There is already a chill in the air and it's getting dark earlier and earlier around here.  Summer never lasts long enough for me, so I'm going to try and savor the weather,my family being home and all my flowers as much as I can.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

The white metal chair and cushions is one of two that will be for sale at the Camas Vintage Street Faire this Saturday, August 25th 9-4, so if you are in the area please stop by.

~Hydrangeas~

My hydrangea bushes are in full bloom right now with all their pinks and purples.  It's been pretty warm here lately and they can get a little wilted, so I made up this simple boquet to put in my living room.  I have a few limelight bushes as well that I can't wait to share when they are all in bloom.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I'm loving all this sunshine and warm weather right now and trying to enjoy the last weeks of Summer before the kids head back to school.  Hope you have fun weekend plans:-)

~White Wednesday# 165~

I bought this rusty metal trellis last Spring, but didn't have any intentions of planting anything to grow up it.  Instead, I pictured white platters and ironstone stacked in each section sitting in the breakfast room area of our kitchen.

I'm happy with how it turned out and can change it up with different pieces or by having baby pumpkins, pincones etc.. sitting in the tureens as the seasons change.  I hope this inspires you to do something different with your found objects rather than use them for what they were originally meant to be.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I recently realized that I haven't been featuring any blogs this Summer and guess that I just really haven't had time lately.  I would like to still give shout outs to new blogs or those who inspire me that play along with this linky party and will be sharing a nice gift I recently received from a sweet gal who I had featured in the past.  Thanks for everyone who plays along, takes the time to view all the people participating and for all the wonderful comments and emails I receive....you guys are great!!!!

~White Wednesday # 164~

I've been going through some of my "junk" this week trying to decide what I'll be taking to the Camas Vintage Street Faire on August 25th.  I wasn't going to do any shows this Summer, but since I recently moved out of my space at Monticello's I decided I needed to try and get rid of a few things and this is always a great show to do.

I'll have lots of chippy white and rusty metal pieces along with some garden items.  I have so many sedums in containers around my house so I decided to share the wealth and will have them for sale as well along with much, much more.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

Who can resist lavendar?  And I just happen to have three containers of them that fit perfectly on this metal stand.  Hope to see you there:-)

~Roses & Silver~

They flatter each other, don't you think?  These beautiful roses came from my Mom's garden and they seemed to gravitate to this silver pitcher.   A match made in heaven.

Add in an old silver trophy, some silverware and a clock and the vignette is perfect.  Enjoy and have a wonderful weekend.  It's gonna get hot here...yeah!!!  xoxo K.
