~White Wednesday # 163~

Since I'm busy getting ready to have my Mom and Dad up for dinner this evening I thought I'd share a simple table setting I've prepared.  Still loving my feeder as a centerpiece filled with some blooms from my garden and a few candles.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I also found this awesome tablecloth at World Market when I was there trying to find an umbrella(which wasn't easy.....Summer has barely begun here and all items are already clearanced and sold out...frustrating).  It has a great nubby texture with ruffles along the edge:-)

This shot is from a mirror hanging between my dining room and kitchen.

Well, better get back to cooking.  Have a wonderful evening!

Relaxing on the Patio

We've been having some beautiful weather here lately and I've finally gotten our patio all scrubbed, cleaned and planted so we can relax and enjoy it!  I feel that in the Summer this area is an extension of our home because we eat dinner out here on warm evenings more than we eat in our dining room and we just hang out as a family in this area:-) It is so nice that we are totally secluded back here without a neighbor in sight, only greenery and trees.
( sorry the photos are blurry...maybe it was too sunny and probably didn't have my camera set right)

When you are standing at this corner you can look down and see our pond where we like to enjoy roasting hot dogs and marshmellows at the firepit, but I couldn't get a good photo of this area since it is really shaded.  I will be sharing this post with Donna at Funky Junk for her Perfect Picture Room Reveal on SNS.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

If you follow the stairs and turn right you will end up at our basement patio which we just finished off this year with a cement slab similar to our other patio area and I'm hoping to share some photos later when I have all the furniture painted and plants planted.  Enjoy your weekend!  I will be helping my friend JoDee at the Barn House Show and everything is already looking amazing!

~White Wednesday # 162~

Well another week has come and gone and once again I am here sharing some of the white in my life.  I have been on the lookout for an enamel bread box for sometime now and finally found one a few weeks ago at a friends sale.

I have been wanting to change things on my counters in the kitchen around a little bit and simplify so this piece helped me get started.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I have it by my sugar and flour tin canisters that I found on a junking trip this winter.

Add in a scale and a couple clocks and now it's time to get cooking:-)

And one last thing, today is my Mom's birthday, so I want to wish her a very happy day!!!

~White Wednesday #161~

I was so happy to come home from vacation to my shasta daisies all starting to bloom.  They are such a happy flower and I know Summer is really here when they start to bloom.

I like to bring them inside since I have so many and place them around my home.  Today I'm sharing some in a brown transferware pitcher sitting on a table in my dining room.  I decided to move my shutters from this area up into my bedroom behind the bed for now so I placed an old screen door here in their place with this wonderful wooden birdcage hanging in the middle.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

~Where Bloggers Create 2012~

I just barely finished my office in time to be able to share with Karen's "Where Bloggers Create" party this year.  It feels so nice to have some organization back to this area which had become much neglected and full of clutter.

It is a nice sized room where I can relax and read a book or my favorite JDL magazines in a comfy leather chair and also where I sit at my desk and blog or pay bills.  There are many drawers, boxes and shelving for storage and an old baby crib spring that I can use as an inspiration board.  The architectural elements over my shelf is a nice added touch as well.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I love this little corner desk with an industrial lamp and old typewriter, which I receive many poems or letter from my youngest daughter.  She loves to type away on that thing.

I found the "office" sign over a year ago and am so glad to finally have it hung.  My husband made the top of my desk to fit two cabinets and I love how large it is with the sides to actually be able to write on or keep my printer.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out all the other inspiration on Karen's blog.
