~Laundry Room Reveal~

I'm going to start this post by saying that in NO way is this how my Laundry Room looks on a daily basis, but rather me sharing with you what a finished, clean and picked up room looks like in our home.  I hope you enjoy the tour.  xoxo K.

When we built our home we didn't have the cabinet guy put anything in our Laundry room specifically because we had salvaged these cabinets from a friend of my husbands who had an old house on his property and they were going to burn down.  We scored some really cool stuff from that house and am glad it got put to good use:-)

We also added the galvanized double sink and had it plumbed into the wall.  I love the size of this sink and that it came with the top which can be used when I bring vegetables in from the garden and also cut flowers.  I keep my recycling that needs to go out in the metal basket on my dryer and just added the numbered rack which holds some of my french tea towels.

My favorite piece in this room is my old wood shoe rack that I have filled with baskets holding all my fabric.  The table in the middle of this room is great for folding clothes and is where I usually sew.

I love the bench we have right by the door to go outside and am liking this area even more since my husband built me this box on wheels for my kids to put their shoes in(just wish they would do it more often than they do...oh well, a Mom can dream). I think the pillow is fitting for this room and I made the clock hanging above the coat rack and plan on making it work, but still need to buy the mechanism.  Hoping it's not too big for this space, what do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and I will be linking this post with Donna over at Funky Junk Interiors for her Picture Perfect Room Reveal.  I'm so glad she hosts this party at the end of each month and it has kept me motivated to keep pushing along on my all my room redos.

~White Wednesday # 158~

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far.  The weather here has been cool and cloudy with off and on rain...typical June.  I'm still waiting til it warms up and I can get outside and soak it up:-)

Today I'd like to share a couple flowers that are both white and grow wild on our property.  I placed them both in my laundry room to give you a sneak peek because I'm almost finally done and will be sharing over at Funky Junk Interiors for her Room Reveal party on Friday night.  Enjoy! xoxo K.

These white roses grow wild in an area beside one of our outbuildings and they smell so wonderful.  I don't think I've ever had a rose that smells this heavenly and when you walk inside it hits you instantly.  This french crate with handle is perfect for holding these sweet blooms.

Daisies are another flower that will reseed themselves haphazardly around our property and I love not knowing where they'll pop up next.  Loving the simplicity of  them in my french body pitcher.

Now I know you might be sick of looking at photos of peonies, but mine bloom later than most peoples because of our higher elevation, so please indulge me with one more post of these precious blooms:-)

I decided to fill my large urn in the kitchen with more of these beauties in the lovely shade of pink.  Since I spend a good amount of time in this room I can enjoy their beauty and aroma.  I have to say that every time I enter into my kitchen this sight puts a big smile on my face.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

~White Wednesday #157~

It's that time of year....for peonies!!  My favorite flower and I wish I would have planted my whole property in these beauties years ago.  The bushes that I do have, one of which came from my Grandma's house when she died, did really good this year with lots of blooms.  Since it is Oregon and we do get a lot of hard rains I had to cut most of them because of the weight and bring them inside....which I don't mind because they smell heavenly:-)

My newest enamelware purchase is perfect to display a few white ones in.  It has a hook to hand with a spout on the bottom.  I just put the flowers in a glass jar and placed it inside.  I needed something new to hang on these shutters in my dining room and can replace the flowers as new ones bloom in my garden this Summer.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

These started out pale pink and ended up more white when opened all the way.  I have many more pink ones that I will be sharing with you later this week:-)

Here is a larger view showing my feeder filled with wild white roses on my dining room table.  This room smells so wonderful when you walk in with both the peonies and roses.

~Curly Willow~

Summer has officially started for my family and I hope to be able to enjoy some lazy days.  Although I will be very busy out in my garden and finishing up many projects around the house.

I wanted to join Donna over at Funky Junk Interiors for her Branches, Sticks and Twigs Saturday Nite Special linky party today with a corner in my living room.  Plants don't do very well in my house, so I tend to like to use branches in my pots and urns.  This rusty urn is perfect to display some curly willow which really stands out in front of white shutters.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

Here is a photo of my two girls on their big days last week:-)
