~Dining Room Delights~

I want to thank everyone for all their get well wishes and I am feeling better.  Enough so, that I got some photos of my completed Dining Room.  The weather didn't want to cooperate for me and my photos might be a little dark since it is really storming here today, but I've wanted to share this completed room, so here goes.

I added some wood shutters to this area as a backdrop for my chippy architectural capital and urn.
This white corner cupboard is one of my favorite pieces and once belonged to my husband's mother.

I love the patina on this sign I hung above my shelves.

And also a new addition is some wooden bowls held in place by some old rusty, crusty fencing.

Outside the french doors will lead you to our entry where you can take off your shoes, hang your coat and stay awhile.  I hope you enjoyed the tour:-)

~White Wednesday # 145~

With this week being Spring Break, I thought I'd get so much done, but haven't been feeling that well lately with no energy:-(  My Mom gave me some daffodils from her yard to help cheer me up.

I added them amongst the candles in my galvanized feeder on my dining room table.  This room is finally done(for now...you know how we all change things up so much) and my hope is to share overall shots by the end of the week.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

These corbels are my favorite with their natural wood patina.

We are heading out this afternoon to see The Hunger Games which my kids have been waiting so patiently to come out since they've read the books a while ago.  I enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the movie myself:-)

~White Wednesday # 144~

I'm still trying to bring a little Spring into my life and since the weather doesn't seem to want to cooperate (forcast for the next two days: 100 percent chance of rain) I'm having to improvise.

I think these primroses are so pretty with their sunny yellow centers.  I've added a few to my porch to help brighten my day.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I love how this pot only has traces of white paint left.

This is a new birdcage and I'm still deciding if I want to sell it or keep it on my porch for a while.

I'd like to introduce Michele over at SummerSoul as my March featured blog.

I love her fresh outlook on decorating her home.  She uses lots of french elements and tons of European grainsacks which she makes into pillows, table runners, slipcovers etc....

If you like her look make sure you take some time to check out her Etsy store as well where she sells many items that she makes:-)

~White Wednesday # 143~

I have to say that my mood always shifts when we get to move the clocks forward.  Because that means Spring is just around the corner, right?  Obviously not, because I woke up to another 4 inches of snow this morning and no electricity:-(

So today I'm going to focus on a little display in my terrarium that reminds me that Spring will eventually get here. Enjoy! xoxo K.

I've attached clock faces and pages from an old french book to some branches.

Added a metal numbered french sign, and candle with french paper and medal attached.

And last, but not least, a nest filled with some eggs in hopes that Spring is not far off after all and instead of this area being covered in snow I can share it with you all decked out in green and flowers:-)

~Forsythia Blooms in the Bathroom~

My forsythia bush isn't quite blooming outside yet, but while I was out pruning it last weekend I decided to bring some branches inside and force their blooms.  It only took a few days for the flowers to start opeing up in this sunny  area near the window.

They ended up in one of my favorite vintage white pitchers that resides in my bathroom.  I love the shape and size which is perfect for flowers and branches that are taller.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I've been wanting to paint the yellow walls in this room for some time now and hopefully will get to it while my kids are off for Spring Break in a couple weeks:-)
