Now that all my flowers are done blooming for the year, I like to use natural elements to fill my pitchers around the house. I had some leaves here and there, but they dried up faster than I had time to take their photos. I also like the look of branches in buckets and urns, but my favorite this time of year is pheasant feathers.
Their texture and colors fit in perfectly with my decor especially on this cupboard with all my silver, ironstone and books. Enjoy! xoxo K.
I'm not sure there is anything that doesn't look good up against an old clock face.
Finally finished painting my bedroom and once I've got it all put back together I'll be sharing with you:-)

The feathers are perfect in the old silver pitcher, and with the clock it is like they were meant to be together!

Love your hutch and all the decorations on it...feathers too!
ReplyDeleteI don't find many pheasant feathers, so I have to make do with the next best thing I do find...wild turkey feathers. I love using "poor gal's florals" (aka dried weeds) indoors in the autumn as well.
ReplyDeleteFlaunt those pretty feathers!
Blessings,
~Angie
You are right, the colors are perfect in this vignette!

Thank you for your inspiration. I was feeling unsettled with so much white and pastel colors and also realized my husband wasn't feeling the white and pastel either. Your great vignette gives permission to have the pretty white vintage items with a few of the antique pieces that are my husband's favorites. Oh boy, here we go again - redo...
