Another beautiful day here in the PNW and since most of my flowers are done blooming for the year I like to cut some of the rose hips that grow along our road to bring inside.
I love the petite pink blooms these roses get in the Spring and then this beautiful orange rose hip will show up in the Fall. They will have more of a red color as winter hits. I wish I had the patience to make these into a wreath because they are so beautiful that way as well. Enjoy! xoxo K.
I think their color fits in nicely on this table in the corner of my laundry room next to my mannequin in one of my french galvanized pitchers:-)

ReplyDeleteI live in the PNW too and love to collect rose hips and use them in my home. However, this year my favorite area got tilled under and used for farmland so now I'm on a new search...poop!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and reminding me how beautiful they are. I must start looking again!
They are so nice displayed with your other nice things. Berries look just as nice as flowers I think. :)

What a great idea to pick the rose hips. I never thought of that. If we manage to get out for a walk this weekend I must look for some. I always take pictures but never thought about cutting some. When I was a kid we would make itchy powder from them and tease other kids. You can also make rose hip tea

I woulda never thunk in a million years to add a finial like that to a dress form , but it looks so fab! ...I just happen to have an almost identical dress form AND finial. So I'm gonna steal your idea (Hope you don't mind*winks*) Vanna
