I don't really decorate much for Halloween anymore since my kids are older. I used to do quite a bit on my porch with pumpkins they had carved, gourds in metal baskets and corn stalks and would take a picture of them in their costumes each year....good memories:-) We live 20 minutes from the closest town, so needless to say, we don't get many trick or treaters and I just didn't have the desire to decorate my porch this year.
We didn't grow any pumpkins in our garden and I only bought a couple white ones, but when I saw a bag of these five tiny little guys for just $2 I couldn't resist how cute they were or the price. They ended up under a cloche with a few small books that sits on a chippy white capital in my dining room and I like the added touch of color. I thought I would share over at Funky Junk for her Halloween party tonight. Enjoy! xoxo K.

ReplyDeletethey look really lovely on display under that cloche.
I adore this season and even when my son is long into adulthood I feel I will always have to celebrate this time of year.

It's not easy staying away from orange this time of year. I do like those little guys. I don't do much for Halloween either. We are finally getting the next generation in our neighborhood trick or treating, we went through a dry spell for a while.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
hugs,

Love the little spot of color in the midst of all that dreamy low color.

love that pop of color! i normally go for the "boo" pumpkins but i'm really loving the way the traditional orange ones stand out against the neutral colors all around. ;)
ReplyDeleteAdorable Kathleen! The perfect touch of orange.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend. Ciao Rita
Your tiny orange pumpkins look great in your white room. They stand out so brightly.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy the wonderful inspiration on your blog. You have so much great vintage goodness!

With all the gorgeous colored trees outside it's hard not to want to bring that inside in the form of orange pumpkins. That's what's so great about a neutral palette. I love your little pumpkins and they look very happy under that cloche. Just brought more home last night myself.

ReplyDeleteThose are just too cute...I thought about getting some this year but like you I am in the country and my kids are grown. I suppose I should decorate for me! :)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet and to the point! Little pumpkins under a cloche, it doesn't get any better than that.
ReplyDeleteWhat great pictures Kathleen! I love them all, especially all the architectural stuff. My kids are grown, and now no one is home, but I still decorate everywhere. I really love this time of year. Thanks for sharing and hope all is well with you.

Such a pretty pop of color in your beautiful space!
ReplyDeleteMy story is so similar ... children grown and gone, 30 minutes from town so no trick-or-treaters. I have held off on buying pumpkins this year. I have some cute mercury glass pumpkins, as well as some white ceramic pumpkins, for in the house but, the porch is looking a little skimpy. You may have inspired me to do something about that. I love the mini pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteThose little tiny pumpkins sure make a pop of color in that area. When you don't have little ones around, it kinda takes the fun out of Halloween. With mine all grown, it's nice this year to have a grandbaby to decorate for. I think I'll even put up a Christmas tree this year. ha.

Your vignettes are so magazine worthy, Kathleen! Just beautiful! I didn't get in to any autumn decor this year at all. Clinging to the roses of summer yet. :) (which are still blooming, btw!) Have a great week, my friend!

Hey Kathleen, I love your cute little pumpkins...especially under the cloche! Your house always looks so amazing. Love your new urns too :) Hope you're doing great! Miss White Wednesdays with you, but totally understand your decision.
ReplyDeletePerfect little pop of color Kathleen...love it!
ReplyDeleteI love the little pumpkins but I TOTALLY love the whole entire area. Don't you want to come to Tullahoma, TN, and do a little sprucing up around my home? Just bring a few of your things with you and we will be good to go. :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!!
I just love your home:)
ReplyDeleteThose little pops of orange color look fantastic in your all white setting. Very inspired by these pictures. Susan at Romancing the Home
ReplyDeletethis should be in Jeanne d'arc Living. The white with a touch of orange is pure perfection. This might get us all out of the white pumpkin phase and back to orange. :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteSO lovely! Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done as much either since my children have been grown, now the grandchildren are here so I broke out a few things. I love your home and the orange pumpkins are just perfect. They pop out against the white. I really like that. Your blog is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBetsy
Beautiful! I also love the birdhouse.
