I was so happy to come home from vacation to my shasta daisies all starting to bloom. They are such a happy flower and I know Summer is really here when they start to bloom.
I like to bring them inside since I have so many and place them around my home. Today I'm sharing some in a brown transferware pitcher sitting on a table in my dining room. I decided to move my shutters from this area up into my bedroom behind the bed for now so I placed an old screen door here in their place with this wonderful wooden birdcage hanging in the middle. Enjoy! xoxo K.

Hi Kathleen:
ReplyDeleteThis post is so pretty. The brown transfer-ware pitcher is the perfect match for the gorgeous daisies. My mother always said they were the 'happy' flower as she was raised on a farm and the fields would come alive with them. Growing up, I remember the beautiful ones she grew in our gardens. hugs, Deb

SO HAPPY yours survived, they are so wonderfully displayed in your room and in your lovely pitcher and one that column base........DELIGHTFUL.
ReplyDeleteWe lost our daisies and anumber of other plants when we had our nasty drought here for about 18 LONG months..and they restricted our watering.
Rose
Just gorgeous!! Love your pics and I too enjoy Shasta Daisies. Mine are blooming as well and I love bringing them inside.
ReplyDeleteHope to be back to share and link up in the future.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
Hi Kathleen, where are you located ? Yes, we had been having a very serious drought here in the Houston area. Some places in Texas are still experiencing this problem unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteWe have been getting more rain in the past 3 months than we had in 18 months before this, so happy about that.
However, our A/C runs about 9 or 10 months of the year around here, during the day especially .
