~Laundry Room Reveal~

I'm going to start this post by saying that in NO way is this how my Laundry Room looks on a daily basis, but rather me sharing with you what a finished, clean and picked up room looks like in our home.  I hope you enjoy the tour.  xoxo K.

When we built our home we didn't have the cabinet guy put anything in our Laundry room specifically because we had salvaged these cabinets from a friend of my husbands who had an old house on his property and they were going to burn down.  We scored some really cool stuff from that house and am glad it got put to good use:-)

We also added the galvanized double sink and had it plumbed into the wall.  I love the size of this sink and that it came with the top which can be used when I bring vegetables in from the garden and also cut flowers.  I keep my recycling that needs to go out in the metal basket on my dryer and just added the numbered rack which holds some of my french tea towels.

My favorite piece in this room is my old wood shoe rack that I have filled with baskets holding all my fabric.  The table in the middle of this room is great for folding clothes and is where I usually sew.

I love the bench we have right by the door to go outside and am liking this area even more since my husband built me this box on wheels for my kids to put their shoes in(just wish they would do it more often than they do...oh well, a Mom can dream). I think the pillow is fitting for this room and I made the clock hanging above the coat rack and plan on making it work, but still need to buy the mechanism.  Hoping it's not too big for this space, what do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and I will be linking this post with Donna over at Funky Junk Interiors for her Picture Perfect Room Reveal.  I'm so glad she hosts this party at the end of each month and it has kept me motivated to keep pushing along on my all my room redos.

  27. Well,
Here's my opinion on your laundry room.......it's fantastic and I wish mine was as large as yours!
But that being said I'm grateful that I have an inside laundry room that functions for me.
I have to take my clothes into my bedroom to fold them but that's not a huge deal because our home isn't that large.....!
It has all I need, but my dream laundry room would have a sink like yours and a folding table as well...
    Lovely room!

  60. Hi Kathleen,
Wow! you have really inspired me to get my husbands behind in gear to make my laundry room look more like a work space. I feel that a table is a must to fold on,in our old house I had one that hinged off the wall so I could put it down when not in use. Everything just looks lovely,if only it stayed that way...right? Enjoy your weekend!1

    P.S.
I hope you received your towels I can't wait to see how you used them :)

I have two of the shoe racks, I store some of my books on them with a big birdcage on top. i wish I could do something with my laundry closet, because that's exactly what it is. It is in the main bathroom behind closed doors. I have those ugly plastic wrapped wire shelves. I would love to decorate the walls with old maps. Ah well someday...
