~Forsythia Blooms in the Bathroom~

My forsythia bush isn't quite blooming outside yet, but while I was out pruning it last weekend I decided to bring some branches inside and force their blooms.  It only took a few days for the flowers to start opeing up in this sunny  area near the window.

They ended up in one of my favorite vintage white pitchers that resides in my bathroom.  I love the shape and size which is perfect for flowers and branches that are taller.  Enjoy!  xoxo K.

I've been wanting to paint the yellow walls in this room for some time now and hopefully will get to it while my kids are off for Spring Break in a couple weeks:-)

I'm linking up with these parties:
Vintage Inspiration Friday @ Common Ground
Feathered Nest Friday @ French Country Cottage

  9. That yellow just pops! Gorgeous! 3 snows after the forsythia blooms.....not sure that's going to hold true this year! I'm not even sure we've had three snows all winter! (of which I'm not complaining!!)

  10. Oh, I love forsythia. How nice that you can force your own blooms....just wish it grew here in Florida. Sometimes I have found stems at the nursery, but they are usually soooo expensive. Thanks for sharing yours...they look great in the ironstone pitcher.

    Have a wonderful weekend,

  35. Flowers are truly God's wonderful gift to us and each year we are rewarded with their beauty.

Yellow is such a happy colour...both in flowers and paint for the wall.

What a Joy to see Blessed Mother Mary on her pedestal and special spot for her with a rosary to remind one to pray a full rosary daily for all the family and loved ones needs...especially not to forget the Holy Souls.

    Nice post.
    Joyfully,
    ~Sylvia Faye
