I want to thank everyone for all their get well wishes and I am feeling better. Enough so, that I got some photos of my completed Dining Room. The weather didn't want to cooperate for me and my photos might be a little dark since it is really storming here today, but I've wanted to share this completed room, so here goes.
I added some wood shutters to this area as a backdrop for my chippy architectural capital and urn.
This white corner cupboard is one of my favorite pieces and once belonged to my husband's mother.
I love the patina on this sign I hung above my shelves.
And also a new addition is some wooden bowls held in place by some old rusty, crusty fencing.
Outside the french doors will lead you to our entry where you can take off your shoes, hang your coat and stay awhile. I hope you enjoyed the tour:-)

Oh how lovely! The shades of whites and naturals are so soothing. I love the patina of the furniture pieces and your beautiful collected pieces. I also love the mix of woods with your pretty hardwood floors, the table and the shutters. I had a chance this week for a lovely pine corner cabinet with leaded glass but had to pass it up because our newer home has a lot of bump outs in the corners, and unfortunately in our dining room. After seeing your lovely family piece, I am now wishing I could find a spot for one.
ReplyDeleteWOW...love it all...the mixture of white chippy, warm wood, and of course, your great architectural elements! It is always fun to see a broader view...love the burlap curtains, too!
ReplyDeleteRene'
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your home! I also LOVE the paint colors....Could you please tell us what they are?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful place! I love the colors and the charm!
ReplyDeleteI'm following to see more!

I love your beautiful dining room down to every detail. My favorite is your corner cupboard... that it remained in your family makes it even more lovely. Looking forward to following you along... I'm so glad I found your blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful room! Love the centerpiece and the white corner cupboard. My grandmother had one of those. Now I'm itching to go get it.
ReplyDeleteI just adore your dining room, it is my dream dining room, you have great taste for the antique and the rustic, every thing is combined perfectly, I really love it and can't stop looking at the pictures. Thank you for showing us your dining room.
ReplyDeletelove love love it!
ReplyDeletebeautiful... and peaceful! love your style--it's clear you have "the eye" for repurposing items for the home.
ReplyDeletehappily visiting from funky junk!
Beautiful...I especially appreciate the mix of dark wood tones with the white. My bedroom is a challenge because I have a collection of beautiful dark tone antiques and I want white, but am afraid to paint it. This has encouraged me to try more of a mix. Really inspiring.
ReplyDeleteLovely, soft and muted room (s). Very relaxing, calming and stately. Beautiful too!
