~White wednesday # 97~

I'm posting a little early today since I won't be available this afternoon. I was scrambling a little this morning to think of what to even post about and then I walked out of my bathroom and saw a glimpse of sun trying to shine through my lace curtain in this corner of my bedroom. I figured I better take the opportunity because the sun shining is very rare around here these days. This room, like many others in my home, is on the list for a makeover. It will get a paint job and furniture rearranging along with some simplifying. Probably won't get to it until this Summer, but I have lots of ideas:) Enjoy! xoxo K.

These dried roses are from my garden. When in bloom this shrub rose is just covered in these tiny beautiful white lovelies.

I added this frameless mirror to try and get a reflection since the light wasn't the best. Mirrors always add so much detail to any area.

~Please Have a Seat~

It's a beautiful sunny morning here and I'd like to share some photos of part of our kitchen with you. I guess you would call this part of the kitchen the breakfast room where our table resides. I've wanted a new table in here for a while now and found this awesome round one which fits perfectly. I love how it looks with my white primitive cupboard in this room. We had a window seat built in which I've got piled with lots of pillows where you have a perfect view of our pond. I've shown you several closeup shots of this room as I've been redoing it, but today I'd like to share the whole area and hopefully soon will be able to show the other half of the kitchen. This table is a perfect fit and I love how we can seat more people around it than we could our other one. You can't beat it's original crackled paint either.

I found this architectural piece last Summer and hung it from the ceiling between the two rooms above the counter.

My girls love to write notes or what's on the menu for the night on the chalkboard that I recently added to this room.

I'm joining in with Debra over at Common Ground for VIF even though I don't have an Easter theme, but this is where we will have our brunch on Sunday morning with my parents. Wishing you all a blessed Easter weekend.

~White Wednesday # 96~

Has it already been a week since my last post? I had every intention to get another one in, but I guess a little thing called life had other plans for me. The sun is shining today, a little chilly, but I'll take the sun over rain and clouds anyday. My camillia bushes are starting to bloom. We planted a pink and a white one when we first moved in and they are quite large now. I decided to bring in a couple blooms to add to the pitchers that reside on my scale behind my sink. I did get one area of our kitchen finished and am excited to share this lovely table that I switched with my old one. Look at the crackle on this thing.....I love it!..thanks Sue. I'll be sharing pics of the whole area this Friday and still waiting on my husband to build me a shelf in the other part of the kitchen so I can share it as well.

~White Wednesday # 95~

Can you believe only 5 more weeks until we've hit 100 White Wednesday posts. I have some ideas that I'd like to run by you guys for that special day that I'll share at a later date, but for today I'm sharing another corner in my dining room that's all decked out for Spring. I had this awesome white and chippy base that I had my husband put a top on with every intention of taking up to my booth, but I really needed something new for this area and guess what.... it fit perfectly. So it will stay at my house for a while anyways:) My grape hyacinths are blooming so I decided to cut some and bring them inside. Also loving the window. I have two and was always going to do something with them. You can actually see a tiny bit of sunshine peeking through my window.....it's trying really hard to come out today. Enjoy! xoxo K.

~Spring has Sprung @ Monticello Antique Marketplace~

I wanted to share a few photos of my booth up at Monticello's all fluffed up for the Spring Garden Show starting tomorrow morning at 8am. The back room is filled to the brim with amazing stuff from some very talented vendors. You have to see it in person to really grasp all it's beauty. Hope you can make it and if not for the first weekend it will run through May this year. Unfortunately, Spring does not want to come to my house because we woke up to two inches of snow this morning:( I guess I'll just have to gaze at these pics I took to get my Spring fix. ~White Wednesday # 94~

Is it already Wednesday again? Time sure has been flying by lately. I guess that will happen when you're busy. I wanted to share a great find I recently got from the ever so sweet Susie at From My Home to Yours. She has a fabulous Etsy shop that I like to visit often. I've been looking for an old oval wood bowl for my dining room table and hadn't had much luck. I spotted this great old white metal drawer on her site and thought it would look great in the meantime. It ended up being a little small for my table, but looked great on another cupboard in that room. Meanwhile, I was lucky enough to find a wooden bowl at the Flea Market on Sunday that I love(will share that at a later date). Here are a few photos of my new drawer filled with some silver and a lovely shade of tulips along with one of my favorite corners in my home. Enjoy! xoxo K.

Lastly, I will be spending the rest of my week up at Monticello's redoing my booth so it's ready for the Spring garden show that starts this Friday April 8th @ 8am. You won't want to miss it.

Actually one more thing. I had a lot of you asking where I got my stencil for my wood tote from my last post. I've purched a few stencils from this site and I love them. Maison de Stencils.
