~White Wednesday # 93~

I hope everyone is having a great day so far. The weather is dreary today, but they are saying dry and maybe 60's ...gasp...in a couple days. I'll keep my fingers crossed. In the meantime I'm still working away in my kitchen and wanted to give you a little peek. Remember the awesome cupboard I recently purchased? Well, its beginning to get filled up with all kind of ironstone goodies and I've added a wooden tote to store even more ironstone. I added the stencil, since it looked too plain. What do you think? Enjoy! xoxo K.

~Welcome Spring~

Since this is officially the first week of Spring I decided to bring in some cuttings off my forsythia bush. It's amazing how fast they bloomed once brought into the warmth of the house. I purchased this tall basket a few weeks ago and had intended to use it in my bathroom, which I still might in the future, but for now it is residing in my kitchen next to the chalkboard I moved from the hallway. I am now in the process of redoing my kitchen and the basket fit in so nicely. The bottom has four sections which was perfect for holding some old sea glass bottles that I have picked up here and there. Now if the weather could just cooperate...we did have a couple days of no rain and some sun breaks, but I'm ready for less rain and more sun breaks:) Think Spring.....Enjoy! xoxo K.

I added some forsythia in a couple bottles that I have sitting by my old scale in the kitchen and also in the bathroom.

I'm linking up with Debra over at Common Ground today.

~White Wednesday # 92~

The sun has been trying to peek out from the clouds here today and it is a beautiful sight. I bought some Hellebore plants for my front flower beds and since the weather has not cooperated for me to get them planted yet, they've been sitting on my front porch. They are a beautiful color with whites, creams and a faint purple before they open up and are such a welcome sight every year since they bloom in late Winter. I think they compliment my statues pretty nicely. Tomorrow is supposed to be dry and warmer and I actully don't have to run kids anywhere, so I'm hoping to get out and get my hands dirty working in my yard....wish me luck:) Enjoy! xoxo K.

I'm also linking up this post with Fishtail Cottage for her Cottage Flora Thursday. Please stop by and check out her lovely blog. You can click on her badge on my sidebar and it will take you to her site.

~Finally Finished~

I think I'm finally finished with my Living Room makeover. My husband thinks I should leave the same things in every room forever......that's what he would do. Every time I asked him to help me hang something, all he would say is "didn't we just put this up?" Yeah, six years ago, I would reply. I love changing it up and my style seems to change quite often....I'm obsessed with so many things.

When looking back at these photos, the words that come to mind are "rustic elegance" with lots of chippy architectural pieces mixed in with mirrors, glass and chandeliers. I'm not so thrilled with my furniture in this room. It's more practical than anything. I love the white slipcovered look in other people's homes, but it would honestly drive me crazy. Maybe when my kids are grown, but for now brown is a great color for my family. Next stop.....the kitchen. Enjoy! xoxo, K.

I decided this new shelf was too busy, so I simplified it with just a few items.

I'm linking at Common Ground for VIF tonight. Thanks for being such a gracious hostess every week Debra.

~White Wednesday # 91~

Today I'd like to share a few white things that I'm loving in my living room right now. I think I'm finally finished rearranging it(are we ever really finished though?) and will have some photos of the whole room on Friday. I hope everyone is having a lovely week and after what happened in Japan I'm sure most of us are feeling very fortunate right now. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who've lost so much. Enjoy! xoxo K.
