While visiting my Mom and Dad on 4th of July, I couldn't resist taking some photos of her gorgeous garden. Her whole backyard and patio are just bursting with color, garden art and statues. She has a brick patio filled to the brim with pots overflowing with blooms. Ever since I can remember my Mom has had a yard full of flowers and my Dad grows an amazing vegetable garden. This must be where I get my love of being out in the sun digging in the dirt. When we first purchased our property they both gave us many starts of shrubs, roses, vegetables, berries and perrenials to help us get our garden going. Hope you enjoy some of her blooms.
I'm linking this post to Cottage Flora over at Fishtail Cottage. Stop by to see everyone's blooms and to thank Tracie for hosting such a fun party. Enjoy! xoxo K.
Your Mom's garden is absolutely beautiful! The little white flowers with the dark and lite pink are amazing. Will you ask your mom what the white flowers and the dark pink flowers are? I'd love to know...

Very beautiful garden! I love this post because that is exactly where I got my love of gardening from is my parents. I remember my mom having lots of Iris. I think that's why I love them today. My plants are start from either her or my sister. I hope I have passed the love of gardening on to some of my children. Thanks for sharing.

I love, love, love your gardens. I'm so jealous because you have so much open space for such a beautiful garden. My front yard is not too big, and the backyard is all pool. I just did a garden post for tomorrow. Everything of mine is blooming right now as well.

ReplyDeleteSo, now I know who you got your love of gardening from! Such lovely flowers...so bright and colorful. My garden is pretty sad this year, and right now it's just too darn hot to do anything! Hopefully, this fall I will feel like doing a little more...I miss it, but find much inspiration from posts such as yours.
