The lilac bush planted right outside our dining room window has a ton of blooms this year(finally) and this morning the sun was shining on them, so I decided to cut some so I could enjoy and smell their lovely fragerance inside. By the time I had cut them and brought them into my laundry room sink to make my arrangement the sky was black and it was pouring. That's pretty much what it's been doing all day here:-( Oh well, I can still enjoy these beauties from the comfort of my home this weekend.
I hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend and if you're up for doing some junking, Monticello's is having their Anniversary Sale through Monday. I will have 15% off in my booth, so if you've seen something up there you just couldn't live without, now's the time to grab it:-) The Spring Show will also end Monday and is still filled with some great stuff! I'm linking up with Debra for VIF today.

Beautiful lilacs darling ...have a nice weekend.....love and bisous xxx....
ReplyDeleteI can almost smell your lilacs! I have a vintage double laundry tub. Old and shabby, so I thought I'd use it to plant flowers in - Bad Idea! The legs were not substantial to hold weight of dirt, so it started to buckle. We emptied it right away and now we buy a couple of ferns every year to display in it.
ReplyDeletelove the lilacs in that picture- and that sink- LOVE!
ReplyDeletehave a great weekend!
Karen
Love the sink!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend,

How beautiful!...Christine
ReplyDeleteI so miss Spring flowers - here in Arizona our flowers are so different than these lovely lilacs.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend. Rhonda
We have one of those laundry tubs, almost identical. We bought it in MO, hauled it out to WY (where we are building our retirement home...very slowly) and I use it when I do laundry with the old maytag wringer washer. It's set up in the pole barn (with a dirt floor). You have just given me an awesome idea!!!! Why not bring it in the house to use. The DH just said we even have that same faucet!!! I love it!!!Thank you!!!!

I did not know the sinks originally came with tops, how cool! Unfortunately with my MO, the lid would quickly be loaded with crap and the sink inaccessible! My husband keeps telling me the sink is not for storage, what does he know?! Isn't there a hose somewhere he could use?!
ReplyDeleteAt any rate I LOVE lilacs, yours look so beautiful in your ironstone pitch, wish I had some here!
Susanne.
Your sink reminds me of the one I had in my house growing up...thanks for the memory!
ReplyDeleteYour lilacs are beautiful!
I'll take one of those fantastic laundry tubs, Kathleen! lol! LUV it!

I love that sink! I love lilacs too~
ReplyDeleteHey Kathleen, that sink is just perfect, oh what I'd give for one of those in my laundry. Back when our house was built they put in 2 bars...but no utility sink...grrrrr...as much as I paint I would have loved one (don't use either of the bar sinks!!!) your lilacs are truly gorgeous, hope you had a wonderful weekend. xoxo Debra
ReplyDeleteI cant get enough of looking at these flowers! Lilacs are so great smelling too
ReplyDeleteKAT
I love lilac and your photos too :) LG Tina
ReplyDeleteI think the lilacs this year are some of the most vibrant-colored and sweetest smelling. They really have knocked my socks off.
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures.
