~White Wednesday # 89~

I'm so glad you guys love White Wednesday so much because it is helping me to keep motivated and get projects done around my house. This old architectural shelf is one of those projects. It was originally blue, but I wanted it to hang in my living room so it got a coat of white paint this weekend. Not sure that I'm loving everything on it...maybe a little too cluttered, but needed something for the photos so I just grabbed some things I had lying around. I think there was originally a mirror and I thought I might try to stencil a saying on the wood backing that was still attached. Any ideas??? It feels good to check off another project for this room. Only a couple more things to complete and I'll be ready to take some photos to share. Hopefully next week. Enjoy! xoxo K.

This photo is through the mirror I showed a few weeks ago.

I know...I know....more coral, but I just can't seem to get enough of it lately and they're all different in shapes and sizes.

  23. Blogging keeps my projects going too! I couldn't tell if the clock was a prop or part of the shelf but it reminded me of a verse that might be kind of cool painted on the backing... "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." I have an old window frame that has this painted on it and I love adorning it for each season! Thanks for hosting-

  25. Hi Kathleen ~ Your mantel looks like something out of PB or Ballard Designs or something! Beautiful job! That old clock face is awesome up there. You should look at some of the sayings over at Red Letter Words. She's got some really inspirational and creative ones there! :)

  26. HI Kathleen, I'm not sure what I did but I finally got the Linky thing to work...it was a bit confusing...but hopefully I figured it out. Also love your other post on your bathroom. It turned out so good, I love the wire baskets you used. I have some and you inspired me to use them! They store cleaners at the moment!

  30. Hi Kathleen,
Another great White Wednesday, and first off your great mantle. I really like the idea of stenciling. And there are so many great ones to choose from. Can't wait to see what you pick. I told my hubby that from now on we could not limit ourselves because a mirror was missing and you can imagine his excitement lol!

  46. I love the whole shelf mantle combination. If it were mine, I would find some cool shabby white rectangular mirror or unframed beveled thing that fit just inside the space where the clock was and then maybe hang a smaller clock face in front, or a twiggy wreath. But what do I know?? I just love all your postings!
