~White Wednesday # 58~

The weather here has been just amazing lately and I've been outside as much as possible. Today I thought I'd share some photos of the architecture I've added to my front porch. ~White Wednesday # 57~

This Wednesday I'm going to share with you my all time favorite white flowers(I know I say that about almost all white flowers, but who can resist this one).....the White Daisy. I love to grow them in my garden because they are low maintenance and the deer don't eat them so I can have them down by our pond and on the outskirts of our yard without worrying. Today I went out and cut some to put on our table outside on our patio. We eat dinner out here most nights in the summer and I found this great bottle carrier the other day at the thrift store. I remembered having these old cocoa-cola bottles and think they make a good match, don't you? I will enjoy these white beauties while eating dinner tonight. Enjoy! xoxo K.

I also wanted to thank a talented blogger that recently gave me an award...Laurie at Heaven's Walk. I'm so glad I came across her blog and love her style. Please take some time to check her out. I especially liked her post about finding some awesome gray shutters for each side of her living room window which go perfectly with a new pillow she had found. Love it!

~Blooms in the Garden~

I spent most of my weekend outside weeding, mowing, watering and cutting back old blooms. It is quite a job, but always feels good when things are looking nice around here. I hope you all had a great weekend and I'm going to leave you with a few shots of my yard and garden. Enjoy! xoxo K.

~White Wednesday #56~

Well here we are once again time for another WW. I want to take some time to thank everyone who participates. There were a whopping 106 of you from last week. Now that's a lot of love for "white", don't ya think? I'm always amazed at how many comments I get about how this is their favorite day of the week. I appreciate all participants and everyone who keeps coming back week after week to gaze upon all the beauty out there. I'm hoping to have more time to be able to visit everyone myself if I can ever get caught up with the house and my yard this summer.

Today I'm going to share my favorite find this weekend at The Portland Expo Antique Show. My friend Diane and I spent the whole day shopping and visiting with friends. I found lots of rusty crusty goodies, but this beauty is something I've been looking for to put in my studio to hold all kinds of little trinkets. It has the perfect patina for me. I found it in Deborah's booth. She had so many amazing pieces all displayed so nicely.

Another great find for me was this old book all written in french. I've been looking for one for a while. This lady had some awesome french items. I wish I could have brought them all home with me. I did manage to find a few old papers,books and music sheet paper. If you've never been to this show you should go because there is truly something for everyone. Enjoy! xoxo K.

~Silver & Ironstone~

~White Wednesday # 55~

Welcome to another Wednesday full of whites. Summer has finally arrived in the Pacific Northwest and it is an absolutely gorgeous day today. I just have a few outdoor shots to share of a sweet plant(diacia-not sure of the spelling) that I have in a pot next to one of my favorite statues sitting on my potting bench. It is one of those days where I can appreciate the simple things in life. Now I'm headed out to my patio to browse through my new Jeanne d'arc Living magazine that just arrived today thanks to Carole over at Maynard Greenhouse. Enjoy! xoxo K.
