~Industrial Charm~

I'm loving anything metal with an industrial look to it lately. I just got some great old factory stools for in my kitchen under my table.

When we built our home we already had the perfect utility sink for our laundry room. It actually has a glvanized top(which you can see leaning against it) that can be used for counter space if needed. The metal basket underneath is great and can be folded up flat. I love the old garbage can which we use as a bin to hold pop and water bottles to recycle.

I found this awesome metal shelf when I was out junking a few weekends ago and for only $5 I couldn't pass this baby up. I'm wanting to put it in my potting shed that my husband is hopefully going to build me this summer. Also a few metal baskets and an old UPS box.

Add in a metal file cabinet, an old army surplus set of drawers and some locker baskets and you've got the look. Enjoy! xoxo K.

~White Wednesday # 36~

Happy Wednesday everyone! I'm going to stick to some outside photos today, partly because that's all I have right now and also because the rain is back and I want to remember our lovely warm sunny weather a little longer. Here are a few shots on my front porch mostly with my white pansies that are blooming so beautifully. Enjoy! xoxo K.

~Let it Shine~

We had the most wonderful weekend here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The sun was shining and at almost 60 degrees it was a heat wave for us in February. I spent most of my weekend outside working in my yard trying to clean up from last Fall. I can't believe all the things that are already coming up and getting new buds. It was a great weekend spent oudoors and we even lit a fire in the firepit down by our pond and roasted hotdogs and marshmellows.

And how appropriate to be awarded the "Sunshine Award" by Debra and Nicole from Capers of the Vintage Vixens. Thank you ladies.

Here's to a wonderful start to the new week. I'll leave you with a few shots of one of my angel babies soaking up the sun. Hope the sun is shining wherever you are. Enjoy! xoxo K.

~Red Wine & Roses~

Our 15th Anniversary was on the 18th. I not only received a dozen red roses(courtesy of my youngest daughter-She was with my husband that afternoon and she told him it had to be "Red" roses for this occasion), but on Friday evening he took me to The Melting Pot. I've been wanting to go for quite some time and boy was it worth the wait. If you haven't been, I'd highly recommend this restaraunt. It was delicious. From the cheese fondue to the salad and then the main coarse all with a good glass of red wine- I was in heaven. And a bit of advice-save room for the dessert. Chocolate fondue with a platter of amazing little bits of everything to dip. I don't care how full you are, you'll want to lick the platter clean. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. Enjoy! xoxo K.

~White Wednesday # 35~

I would like to start this post by saying "Thank you" to everyone who supports this WW theme. From the die hards posting every week to the occasional players down to everyone who just visits all the sites. I know life is busy and sometimes it's hard to find the time, but I receive many comments and emails from so many of you who say this is their favorite day or they can't wait for Wednesday to come. I look at this theme and Wednesdays like a day that I receive a magazine in the mail and can't wait to open it and be inspired. I have met some wonderful people from this experience and I hope you all have also. So thanks for taking the time and supporting everything "white".

Now for some inspiration. Today I'm featuring white wicker with French atmosphere. I think of wicker as a classic that will never go out of style. A wicker chair with a french inspired pillow and how could you go wrong. Here are a few photos of some of my wicker. Also, the last two show a pillow cover that I just bought from Marcella at Nice and Easy Antiques that she is curently selling. I love it and also the nice tags that she sent along withthe package. Very thoughful and personal. Enjoy! xoxo K.

~A Silver Valentine's Day~

****Happy Valentine's Day****

I don't usually decorate that much for the different holidays, except for Christmas of coarse. I've really been inspired with the Jeanne d'Arc Living magazine lately and love their idea of decorating candles. I have tons of candles around my home so thought I'd spread a little love on them. Also since it's Sunday I thought I'd throw some silver in there too. Beth at Gypsy Fish has extented her SS theme to every 2nd Sunday so we can all still get our silver fix once a month. The last photo is the first atempt my daughter, Nichole tried at soldering. She wore it to school and all her friends loved it and they were surprised that she made it. Looks like she's got some present ideas for her friends. Hope you are all surrounded by loved ones today. Enjoy! xoxo K.
