~Silver Pitchers & Trays~

I hope everyone's weekend is going well so far. Today I'm joining in with Gypsy Fish for another Silver Sunday. Make sure you stop by and check her out and also all the great blogs on her list that are playing along.

I have been fortunate enough to find a few silver pitchers in my journeys, but I actually don't see that many. My favorite by far is the one with glass that has a silver handle and lid. I'm not sure if this was some kind of sypup pitcher or maybe it held milk. Silver trays come in many shapes and sizes and have a multitude of uses. I like how they look just propped up on a shelf or cupboard as a backdrop. Enjoy! xoxo K.

~For the Love of Books~

I have an obsession with old books and I wanted to show you some of mine. Also, I wanted to thank Marcy at Brocantess for the books she brought back for me from France. I won her giveaway and I couldn't have been more thrilled with what she sent me. I especially am drawn to the books that have marbled covers or pages and that's exactly what I got and written in french no less. The first two photos show them and the rest are some I've collected over the years.

Do you gals remember when you could go to Goodwill and get old hardback books for .49c? Well back in the good old days I can remember looking through the isles of books and just picking them for the color or look of the cover(at that price you could afford to do that). I wish I had picked up lots more back then, but still love all the ones I did find. Enjoy! xoxo K.

~White Wednesday # 32~

Happy Wednesday to everyone. I posted some photos of my brown transferware when I first started my blog and before this theme, so I hope noone minds that I'm posting a few pieces of my collection again. I recently acquired a couple more platters and have been redecorating my hutch in my kitchen, so it seemed fitting to use it as a "white wednesday" post even if it's not all white. I would say it is my favorite out of all the colors of transferware and is becoming harder to find especially without a hefty price tag. That seems to be the way it is getting for everything I love~bummer! I hope you enjoy my photos and the rest of your week! xoxo K.

I'm going to try the McLinky List this Wednesday since my list on my sidebar is getting so large and i notice when I go into some names they don't post very often. This way you only post when you have time and people can look at this list to see who is posting for that day. Please let me know what you think of this idea. I noticed quite a few other blogs who do themes use this list. It only took me hours to figure it out and I'm still not sure I got it right(LOL).

~Touches of Gold~

Since I've been doing so many posts on silver and white lately, I decided to throw in one about gold accents. I had planned to get this posted last night, but that didin't happen and since I'm going to be gone tomorrow and not able to post with Silver Sunday I decided to do this one tonight. I ended up redoing my mantel from what I had at Christmas with more gold tones and I like how it turned out since I have some other gold items throughout that room. I also have more gold in my bedroom and bathroom. Hope you enjoy! xoxo K.

~White Wednesday # 31~

I received such a thoughtful gift from Rebecca at Rebecca for Vintage Living the other day. she had a giveaway for her own birthday. Can you imagine how sweet to give away gifts for your own birthday? I've really enjoyed her blog and getting to know her through blogging. She is a sweet and very talented woman. I've been waiting for WW to show you what I won from her. Every single part of this was amazing, from the tag to the giftwrap and then when I opened it was truly beautiful. The funny thing is that I've been keeping my eyes open for another print just like this one. Thank you so much Rebecca for your thoughtfulness and this gift is truly appreciated. Let me know what you think of her beautiful gift to me. I love It! Enjoy! xoxo K.
