~Nordic Style Mantel~

I'm always so inspired by the simple, yet elegant decorating style I see in my Jeanne d' Arc Living magazines. It makes me want to throw everything out and start over. Well, that's not so realistic, but I can do little areas at a time. I decided to add glass on my mantel this year. Stack a couple cake plates, some bottles with candles, ornaments in a jar and a clock sitting on an old book under a cloche....all this with some cedar greens and pinecones and this is what I came up with. I think I achieved the look I was going for, what do you think? Enjoy and hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. xoxo K.

I'm linking up with the ever so sweet Debra over at Common Ground for her Vintage Inspiration Friday. Stop by and see all the Christmas inspired photos.

  2. You certainly succeeded with your Jeanned Ark style.. I know the being realistic about starting all over with our styles... I tuck some here and there but I also love most of the stuff I do have also.... I will be happy with that and the ones that can change over completely will just have to do so...

  10. I love it Kathleen and I know just what you mean. I have thoughts of tossing it all and starting over as well (well maybe not ALL of it, but a lot), but I know it isn't practical either. I am going to try very hard to downsize after Christmas and we will see how that works. That is hard for a person who loves *pretties* and who also has a booth that I need to keep stocked. We are very blessed!!
I LOVE your look...are those just taper candles burned down a little?

  17. Love your mantle, so awesome. My mantle is still empty and our fresh 8 foot Christmas tree is still naked and bare! Ho-ho-ho! Not sure where the time went this season. Well I kind of know, I need to take off to Country Roads here in a few minutes!

    Take care, Sue
