A friend of mine brought me a huge bouquet of hydrangeas this weekend. She was cutting back her bush and had so many blooms. I love hydrangeas and really appreciate her thoughtfulness. I am going to dry them and use them in my display for the Christmas show. Since it's Silver Sunday hosted by Beth over at Gypsy Fish I thought I'd put some in one of my favorite silver pitchers and play along. I think they compliment each other nicely, don't you?. Enjoy! xoxo K.

Hydrangeas are my favourite and yours look so pretty. That is a really pretty little footed pitcher.
ReplyDeleteI Love this picture.....I am a fan of old and tarnished silver pieces, and often use them to display flowers, feathers or anything else I can squeeze and place into!! Beautiful vignette!

The hydrangeas look great, mine are gone now. And believe me I used them all up, until I had not one petal left! I love the contrast of the silver and the softness of the petals. Well done, tami

Looking, learning and YEARNING! I shall have to go in search of some hydrangeas. (Last year we stumbled on some being discarded curbside! I didn't spray them with any kind of "fixant" and they eventually crumbled....Have you any hints in THIS department???)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Kathleen! I love hydrangeas!
ReplyDeleteHydrangeas go with everything! What a wonderful friend to share.

Sooooo pretty! I love them so! Word of advice to your friend regarding pruning....always cut back mid-summer, because late-summer to fall they grow their buds for the following years blooms and new growth. If you prune too late, you may have less blooms the following year...On a happy note, I planted 6 hydrangea bushes this year! I can't wait for all the blooms!
ReplyDeleteoh these are gorgeous! I alway love the way ANY flower color looks in a silver teapot. lovely!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you found the perfect container for those hydrangeas! Hope you have a good week and your son is doing better and better each day!!
