~White Wednesday # 57~

This Wednesday I'm going to share with you my all time favorite white flowers(I know I say that about almost all white flowers, but who can resist this one).....the White Daisy. I love to grow them in my garden because they are low maintenance and the deer don't eat them so I can have them down by our pond and on the outskirts of our yard without worrying. Today I went out and cut some to put on our table outside on our patio. We eat dinner out here most nights in the summer and I found this great bottle carrier the other day at the thrift store. I remembered having these old cocoa-cola bottles and think they make a good match, don't you? I will enjoy these white beauties while eating dinner tonight. Enjoy! xoxo K.

I also wanted to thank a talented blogger that recently gave me an award...Laurie at Heaven's Walk. I'm so glad I came across her blog and love her style. Please take some time to check her out. I especially liked her post about finding some awesome gray shutters for each side of her living room window which go perfectly with a new pillow she had found. Love it!

  16. Love the daisies. So many songs written about daisies. Such a simple flower, but it seems to be one of the most popular nosegays ever made in history. How many girls and women have had a fistful of daisies held out to them by some sweet suitor of ANY age???? :-) They are just downright cheerful and easy to grow. Love them in your coke bottle carrier display. Thanks for sharing!! and again for the White WEdnesdays...

  19. Hi Kathleen,
daisy remind me of my childhood. In Sicily we actually had wild daisy and the smell, oh I can still remember and I was 12 years old thinking to be in love and pulling each petal "he loves me, he loves me not". Thank you for having us . Rita

  26. The daisies are so pretty in the coke bottles and I love the bottle tote.

We have a huge deer problem. They think our yard is an "all you can eat" buffet bar!
It's good to know that they don't like daisies.

  45. Just found your blog from raggygirlvintage. I am a white junkie as well. Every photo I see of a house with a white couch...I want. I know it's totally impractical, but I can't help myself. All my flowers on my front porch are white petunias this year.

I joined as a follower. Would love if you would follow back.

  49. Thank you Kathleen for another great post and for hosting WW of course! These daisies bring back some sweet, sentimental memories for me. When I married my first husband, Gary, my bouquet was full of white daiseis, no roses for me back then (1996). Sadly, Gary has since gone home with the Lord but these daisies bring back happy memories of that beautiful day when we were married.

    Thank you!

    Blessings,
    Missy

  56. I LOVE DAISYS! How incredibly SWEET yours are! They are such a HAPPY FLOWER!

  57. Kathleen the photos of your daisys are gorgeous. I love daisys too. What a hard working plant and lovely flower they are. I think they just look 'happy'. One of my favorites is the Oxeye daisy, but it has been named a noxious weed in Idaho, so we can no longer plant them here without fear of being fined. They are such cute little things though.

I wanted to thank you again for your sweet well wishes. It meant so much to me to get your congratulations.
