I hope everyone has had a nice holiday weekend in rememberence of all who have fought for our freedom and to honor the memory of loved ones. We stayed home in hopes of getting some things done around the house, but the weather has not been wanting to cooperate. Still chilly and wet in our neck of the woods.
My Mom brought me these beautiful peonies from her yard that I wanted to share with you. She knows they are one of my favorites and mine aren't quite blooming yet so this was a pleasant surprise. They are so detailed and the aroma is just filling my house. I love them. Enjoy! xoxo K.

I also love peonies and these are beautiful. I am still waiting for mine to bloom. Thanks for sharing yours.

Your peonies are beautiful! I wish we could grow them down here but it is to hot for them. But what I do grow are the Mary Rose bush her blooms are like a peony and she is easy to grow. Thank's for sharing the treasures from your garden.....Julian
ReplyDeleteOh Kathleen come on down, you would be begging to leave after the 110's start in two weeks. LOL!
ReplyDeleteJust got out of the pool, I am not rubbing it in...
perfect day to sit poolside and sip a refreshing margarita.
Hope your weather turns soon for ya to enjoy your garden.

Great color, I always have to have flowers in my house. My garden right now is exploding with color. My hollyhocks are the color of your flowers above, except for one that red and ruffly, I love it. Hope you had a wonderful week-end spending time at home.

When I was a kid (moons ago) there were peonies growing everywhere in my yard. My mom & gram called them 'pineys'...one of the first things we planted 25 years ago in our 'new yard' were peonies. I have red and pink...I love the smell. Mine were in full bloom last week...I hurry to take bouquets because it never fails...it rains and knocks them down :(

I wish I had peonies in my garden. I have to buy them from Whole Foods! Yours are lovely. ::Jill
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! I think mine are going to be pitiful this year for some reason. Not a happy camper here. LOL.

Peonies are one of my favorites as well. They just never last long enough. My light pinks are doing much better than the fuschia (which have already lost all their petals).
