Don't you just love the smell of lilacs? What can be better than that beautiful aroma and gorgeous blooms all in a wonderful old silver pitcher? Put it next to a clock and birdcage hanging from an old iron lamp base and you have just transformed a corner of your room into a heavenly sight. I'm drawn to all these pieces and had fun taking these photos. Be sure to stop over at Gypsy Fish and check out all the other silver posts. Also I want to wish everyone a very special Mother's Day. I hope you are having a nice, relaxing day with loved ones. Enjoy! xoxo K.

I know what you mean. I was painting furniture an hour ago and the breeze carried that wonderful heady smell of lilacs my way. I don't know whose yard they wre from but it was heavenly. Sea Witch
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely! Your photos capture so many of my loves! The clock defining time moving on, the silver pitcher relecting the beauty of this world, the lilacs I can almost smell their perfume, the metal base and the birdcage offering refuge and yet freedom...so beautiful...so peaceful...Thank you!

Hi Kathleen,
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day to you too. Love the lilacs ~ still waiting for my "little Kim" to bloom. But I'm not complaining because this is the 1st year since we've had it that it's had lots of blooms.....only took 4 years!
Enjoy the sunshine!! Isn't it fabulous?
