~A Cozy Corner~

I hope all of you are enjoying your weekend. It has been warmer here and I've been out trying to get all my pots planted up with annuals for my porch and patio. This is my favorite spring activity and it is very thereputic for me to water them throughout the summer and watch them grow. When I'm all finished I will share some photos with you.

Today I wanted to invite you to a little glimpse of a corner of our backyard. This beautiful large bush was here when we built our house and this time of year it is covered in white blossoms. We are not sure what it is, but it provides a wonderful little area where I have some statuary and a great old rusty birdcage. The bottom stand is used for holding pots and the cage itself is surrounded by plants and groundcover. There is another one of these bushes that is smaller that I show in the last photo and you can see our pond in the background. I love all the different shades of green this time of year. Don't you? Enjoy! xoxo K.

  8. Hi Kathleen, I discovered your blog through Sandy at The Wonders of Doing. I love your style and your garden spot is beautiful. I just came inside from working in mine. I also enjoy planting and watering my flowers through the summer. It's a very peaceful and calming thing to do. So nice to meet you.

  13. Hi Kathleen
Love your little sanctuary... gardening is so theraputic, wish I could do more of it but these days I have my days full and not enough energy when I get home. I plan on planting tomorrow if the weather holds out.
Your bush is beautiful, I wonder what kind it is?
    Have a great week
    Blessings

  17. Hi Kathleen, I'm sure lovin' your garden pictures. Very lovely and interesting 'things' here and there!

Sounds like you enjoy watering! It's one of my favorite garden 'chores'. Nothing like a day of working in the garden, and then, at the end of the day, it's like the rewward to all the hard work is to turn on the water and give it a drink!

    Have a wonderful week.
    Blessings,
    Susie

  22. It's beautiful! I'm envious, because our new yard is barren except for one tree and some weedy grass growing under it. I have so much work ahead of me! I love working in the garden, but I'm impatient too and wish everything would grow overnight and be green and lovely the next morning. If only! ::Jill
