I'm loving anything metal with an industrial look to it lately. I just got some great old factory stools for in my kitchen under my table.
When we built our home we already had the perfect utility sink for our laundry room. It actually has a glvanized top(which you can see leaning against it) that can be used for counter space if needed. The metal basket underneath is great and can be folded up flat. I love the old garbage can which we use as a bin to hold pop and water bottles to recycle.
I found this awesome metal shelf when I was out junking a few weekends ago and for only $5 I couldn't pass this baby up. I'm wanting to put it in my potting shed that my husband is hopefully going to build me this summer. Also a few metal baskets and an old UPS box.
Add in a metal file cabinet, an old army surplus set of drawers and some locker baskets and you've got the look. Enjoy! xoxo K.

ReplyDeleteI love those stools!!!! We had a utility sink just like that when I was younger. It was where my sister and I would have to wash out the milk buckets every morning and evening for our dad when he'd get done milking. Thanks for the memories.

ReplyDeleteIt's funny how trends set the tone of this crazy business of "vintage". I too am enjoying the industrial look, especially when it contrasts so well with other primitive pieces. It is also interesting how prices have increased for the industrial stuff as well. Loved all the pictures!

Oh it looks fabulous! I have fallen in love with the idea of mixing old metal elements in recently as well. I have two baskets similar to your that I recently scored. So many things you can do with an old metal basket!
