~Sweet Cherubs~

I was sitting on my patio this afternoon eating my lunch enjoying the beautiful day, my flowers and my surroundings especially my cherub statuary. I am always drawn to them. They seem so innocent and have those cute chubby cheeks. You can have them inside or out, alone or in groupings and they will always make a statement. ~WhiteWednesday #6~

~~~white & wonderfully worn~~~

This morning I went around my house and tried to show the details in my surroundings. I feel it really makes a statement in your decorating when you have lots of different textures, patterns, designs and patinas. These were all in shades of white.

Hope everyone is staying cool. We've been averaging 105 for three days now which is a bit warm for us and all my plants. Hope they survive. Have a great Wednesday. Enjoy! xoxo K.

~Finding my Creative Side~

Welcome to my office. I've spent some time getting it all cleaned up for the Blog Party going on today. I just recently painted this room (Devine~Ale) and redecorated it. It has more color than other rooms in my home and some floral added here and there. The color scheme all started with the desk and it's awesome blue color. Here is where I do all my blogging, paying bills and some of my crafting. I also craft at the dining room table and I have a "junk" storage room in the basement that my duaghter and I use for some things, but you do not want to see pictures of it right now because it's a mess! Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pics and also I'll share with you some of the things I've been making to sell at a couple shows I'm doing in August. Here are a few cards I'm selling. I really like how the ones with buttons turned out.

A couple journals my daughter, Nichole has made. She gave the one that has "Faded Charm" on it for me for Mother's Day~so cute.

And the last two show the clocks the girls made for each of their rooms. The first is Brenna's and her room just recently got painted brown with lots of pink. She's nine. And the second one is Nichole's for her blue room which she had been wanting for a long time. She's eleven. Both their rooms turned out great and I'll be sharing some pics of them at another time.

~White Wednesday #5~

~~~~~~white baskets~~~~~

Good morning and welcome to another Wednesday full of white wonders. Today I'm going to share with you some of my vintage baskets that are great for plants, inside or out and dried flowers such as hydrangeas or larger ones look great with branches such as curly willow. You usually hear of these referred to as funeral baskets and come in wicker and metal. I have many and some I use to decorate around my house or porch and some I keep around to use for entertaining(referring to the picture of the basket hanging in my storage room~it's an old one and I love all its chippiness.) ~Down by the Seashore~

There is something about the sea that is so calming. We are lucky to live only about an hour and a half away from the ocean. My only complaint is it is usually too cold and windy for me. I'm more of a hot, sunny 80 degree kinda girl. Anyway, I love shells and coral especially their different shapes and textures. My Dad loves finding rocks and shells and has given me some over the years and I've just accumulated them from here and there. They are great to fill a bowl or just sit on top of a book or on a shelf. So sit back and enjoy my finds from the sea! xoxo K.
