~Random Outdoor Shots~

Everything in my yard, garden and on my patio are all growing like crazy. I just love this time of year and want to soak it all up. My family thinks I'm crazy because I always want to be outside when it is nice. We eat all our meals out on the patio. I think I feel that way because I know it only lasts a few months and then back to the cold, gray and wet so you might as well take advantage of it while it is here. ~White Wednesday #2~

Since the weather has been so nice, I'm going to stick with the outdoor theme again today. I love to spend time on my front porch whenever I can. It is very peaceful and I have collected many treasures over the years. Along with lots of flowers in my pots and urns it is so nice to be able to enjoy them!

~Fabulous Finds~

I got to do some junkin on Thursday and let me tell you it felt good. My son has been doing a basketball camp all week so when I saw some advertisements for a church rummage sale and an estate sale I was all over it. I try not to buy so much anymore, but if I'm in the area and have time I always stop and take a peak. I'm glad I went to both these sales because I found some good things to resell. I'll be doing a couple shows this summer in August. I have a lot of things already to get rid of from doing some makeovers to a few rooms in my house, but can always have more things to add especially at cheap prices.

I decided since I was going through everything and cleaning up a few items I'd take a few photos to show you what I found. A few bigger pieces like the skinny set of drawers, small shelf, chair, stool and some shabby wooden stands. I think these would look great with some plants on top of them. Always love to find old books, shells, a couple trinket boxes, a few chippy plant stands, an urn, a couple trays, clay pots, an alarm clock, a wire and wicker basket, a couple old tins, birdcage, old bottle and a nice sign. ~White Wednesday #1~

So I've had this idea in my head awhile and might actually have time to do it now. Since I have so much white stuff and I know all you ladies out there love white I thought I'd try and do a post on "white things" every Wednesday. ~Decorating Alpha Style~

Lately I've been drawn to letters. Any kind really. I love to use them in my scrapbooking and card making, but lately have been using them in decorating. I have been on the lookout for them wehnever I go to sales. Old or new, big or small, metal or wood. I think they look great in any vingette, hanging on the wall or propped up on a shelf.

~I'm in Heaven~

It's been a couple weeks since I've done a post and I can honestly say I haven't even been home to do one if I had wanted to. Things have been pretty hectic around here and I'm so thrilled today is my kids' last day of school(yeah!). Hopefully after this weekend I'll have a little more time for myself. Tomorrow is my youngest daughter's 9th birthday(where does the time go?) and Saturday she is having a friend's party and she is soooo excited.

A couple days ago I helped do flower arrangements for the reception after the 8th grade graduation at the kids' school. My son was in 7th grade this year and the 7th grade Moms decorate the cafeteria for the reception. I love flowers and enjoy putting arrangements together so I had no problem volunteering for this job. I have to tell you I thought I was in heaven when I showed up that morning and saw all the buckets full of beautiful flowers that people from the community had donated. When we were done cleaning up afterwards I got to take a couple of the bouquets to enjoy in my own home. I still can't believe my son is going to be in 8th grade next year. It has gone by in a blur.

I thought I'd also show you a few of my bush and climbing roses. Since we live up so high and have clay soil, roses don't do very good for me. My climbers seem to do fine so I stick to them. Enjoy. xoxo K
