~Soaking up the Sun~

Wow. We've had some amazing weather around here and it looks like it is going to be nice and warm all the way through the weekend. I've been a busy bee out working in my yard any chance I get and everything is really starting to grow and bloom. I finally got all my annuals planted in my pots around my porch and patio and now I can sit back and watch them grow. Here are a few sneak peaks at some areas around my yard. Enjoy your weekend. xoxo K
A view through my arbor with a climbing rose(it's almost ready to start blooming).

An area on my patio with a table and lots of pots and urns.
This is a view looking over the table out to our pond in the back.

This is the awesome fountain I got for Mother's Day. I have been enjoying sitting down here and listening to the water in the evenings.

Here is one of my favorite areas on my front porch.

And a collection of birdhouses in another area.

~Ferns & Urns~

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. It was so beautiful here with nice warm weather. I was in heaven! Didn't get as much done outside as I had hoped, but there's always tomorrow, right?
We live up in the hills and are lucky to have a forest surrounding our property. When we first moved here I think my favorite thing were all the ferns growing around. I love how they start popping up all curled up and then gradually start getting bigger and eventually opening up. Inside or out they look great. I can't seem to grow plants inside my home. I finally gave up and have purchased some fake ones to decorate with and escpecially love how they look in urns~another one of my favorite things to collect.
Hope the weather is nice where you are and you have some time to sit back, relax and just watch things grow around you. Enjoy. xoxo K

~Does anyone have the time?~

I have to admit my heart goes pitter patter everytime I see an old rusty shabby clock. Big or small, working or not, the whole thing or just the face~~ I LOVE them all!! Every so often my son will ask me why I have so many clocks around the house that don't work. "What's the point" he asks? (Where did I go wrong?) My family will never understand my obsession with clocks and in my opinion you can never have too many sitting or hanging around. They are so fun to decorate with and add loads of charm to any style. I'd like to share a few of mine with you. Enjoy. xoxo K

Don't you just love pansies? They seem to be such a timeless flower. Whether they are planted outside or in an old painting they are one of my favorites. I was just noticing yesterday that it is probably time to pull them out and plant summer annuals. I always plant my pots and urns on my patio and porch with pansies in the Fall and they last until late Spring when the weather starts getting warmer. This week sometime I'm planning on going to my local nursery and buying my summer annuals for these pots and urns, but I usually dread pulling out all the pansies. They like colder weather so I should look at it as getting to be time for the warm stuff~which I am really looking forward to. How about you? xoxo K
