Has it already been a whole week? I have been busy. I'm having a Holiday Sale the first weekend in December and that has been consuming a lot of my time. I went in today to get the postcards printed up and will have more details and photos to share with you as it gets closer.
So now to White Wednesday. The weather has been cold and gray around here. It gets dark pretty early in the evenings now. The one thing I love about this time of year is having candles lit in the house. I remember last year when we were without power for a couple days and I had candles lit all over the house. I really enjoyed the ambience they give to a completely dark room. I had some lit this evening and decided to share with you. Enjoy! xoxo K.
Hi Kathleen, beautiful candlelight. The first photo is gorgeous, was that a light fixture in a past life? It's lovely, especially on the mirror, with the reflection!

ReplyDeleteHi.
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful home!
/Git.
Happy Wednesday, Kathleen!
ReplyDeleteCandles certainly do make for a cozy evening, no matter the weather. I light candles every nite, for the ambience and the lovely smell (right now it is pumpkin nutmeg -- Mmmmmm!). Love your little white creamer/pitchers on the windowsill and the beautiful fern. I've tried to have an indoor fern here but they just never seem to last. Best wishes to you this White Wednesday! :) Tammy
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so beautiful. So cozy with that golden glow of the candles. I love your little white pitchers lined up in the window - I have a little collection of those too.
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower - come see me when you have a chance...

ReplyDeleteHappy White Blessings today ;-)
Hi Kathleen~ Carole sent me here, too! I'd like to participate in White Wednesday sometime. Your blog is lovely and the idea of the candles on the mirror is neat! It makes me want to dust off my candles and start using them.
ReplyDeleteIt's tough to post AND work on a sale, but you did good. Love all your unique twists on candleholders. I'm not allowed to play with matches, so I guess I better look for the battery operated ones!
ReplyDeleteMaybe today's the day I'll get to post a WW!
Debbie
How inspiring!!! Makes me want to light candles here... I especially love the ones in the unique stand on top of the round mirror. Beautiful...

so warm and inviting! It's so gloomy, rainy, windy and cold here today I think I need to light about a bazillion candles. :) Happy White Wednesday
ReplyDeleteLoving your tiny pitcher collection on the windowsill!
ReplyDelete~Michelle
Love the candlelight. And yes time IS flying by! Is it possible to slow it down? I'm not ready for the holidays!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean I blinked and it was Wed. I am with you I seem to only light candles in the fall and winter. It just seems like the time. I guess we are too busy when it is pretty outside and not in the house much. I loved you photo's. I haven't had a chance to post today may I'll do a white Thurs. LOL. I did notice the big squeare thing in a couple of photo's don't know what it is but it is near the bottom with the big chippy white flower pot urn kind of thing. Anyway I got a square thing like that and didn't know what to do with it. It is in the garden right now but I think I'll bring it and put on the dining room table and put candles on it! How smart is that. You inspire. Hope your White Wednesday is Blessed. Thanks for sharing and good luck on the sale.
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Sherry

Ahhh .... Kathleen, the candles are so nice on a night like tonight! Mr. Sammy Girl just bought me a new CAT cord (this machine has a thing against going wireless!!) so I can sit by the gas fireplace and look at the beautiful white Wednesday posts. Thanks so much for coordinating this weekly event. Sometimes it's the best part of the day!
ReplyDeleteHugs and have a great week!

Can't wait to join in on the fun!
I love that last image! So gothic, with the dripping candle wax. Lovely! Just like you!
ReplyDeleteAnne
We're on the same page. I had 7 candles lit tonight im my home too. It's a dark, cold and windy evening and the candle light makes it so warm and cozy. Tonight mine are all juniper sage fragrance. Tomorrow maybe hazelnut?
ReplyDeleteI love candles! Your pics are beautiful...you can feel the ambience.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I found this blog. Time is so limited for me so I've found it hard to keep up with weekling "challenges" (what they call them in the art world). But white on white on white, chippy white, shades of white, any white is my favorite *color*, texture, emotion, song, poem and love. Could you guess that with my name which I chose for my etsy shop and blog. I'll peek in every Wed. I promise to see how everyone else shares my obsession with all things white!
ReplyDeleteThose candles make for some beautiful ambiance! Lovely photos!
