~Finding my Creative Side~

Welcome to my office. I've spent some time getting it all cleaned up for the Blog Party going on today. I just recently painted this room (Devine~Ale) and redecorated it. It has more color than other rooms in my home and some floral added here and there. The color scheme all started with the desk and it's awesome blue color. Here is where I do all my blogging, paying bills and some of my crafting. I also craft at the dining room table and I have a "junk" storage room in the basement that my duaghter and I use for some things, but you do not want to see pictures of it right now because it's a mess! Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pics and also I'll share with you some of the things I've been making to sell at a couple shows I'm doing in August. Be sure to stop by Karen's blog for the list of everyone participating in the party. Enjoy! xoxo K.

Magnet board with a tin ceiling tile frame and some of the magnets I've made.

Here are a few cards I'm selling. I really like how the ones with buttons turned out.

A couple journals my daughter, Nichole has made. She gave the one that has "Faded Charm" on it for me for Mother's Day~so cute.
And the last two show the clocks the girls made for each of their rooms. The first is Brenna's and her room just recently got painted brown with lots of pink. She's nine. And the second one is Nichole's for her blue room which she had been wanting for a long time. She's eleven. Both their rooms turned out great and I'll be sharing some pics of them at another time.

  1. I know one thing, you do not have to look far to find your creative side. Your ideas just plain out amaze me, and your "creative" space is no different. I am always in awe of the ways you use things and they always look wonderful. I am so enjoying looking at all of your past posts. My brain is on overload. You make me want to redo everything . Thanks so much for all the inspiration.

  13. Tell me please, how does this color take light at night. It seems like it would almost feel like a single candle lit in a dark room... very cozy if you will. I love your room and the old world feel it's giving off.

Just a note to say how much I enjoy your blog. Such lovely pics! I must look at a sample of the Devine color you used .... it seems so warm and might just be the shade I am looking for. It is a nice paint to use .... we have two other of her paints in our upstairs ...

  36. Oops!! I am a little late!! I do like your creative space!! It has a European quality and I think that has to do with those pretty muted color choices and all of your old vintagy treasures. I think your little couch is fabulous~if you don't feel creative, just sit down with a cup of tea and daydream!! ;-)

Love the clocks your girls made. It is so nice that they are creative also, but more importantly, you have that bond and can spend more time together!!

    xoxo

  37. The gold color goes perfectly with the blue. I have about that same color in my kitchen, and in my office/craft room. The gold really lifts my spirits when it's dreary. Looks beautiful with your little floral sofa!
