It's been a couple weeks since I've done a post and I can honestly say I haven't even been home to do one if I had wanted to. Things have been pretty hectic around here and I'm so thrilled today is my kids' last day of school(yeah!). Hopefully after this weekend I'll have a little more time for myself. Tomorrow is my youngest daughter's 9th birthday(where does the time go?) and Saturday she is having a friend's party and she is soooo excited.
A couple days ago I helped do flower arrangements for the reception after the 8th grade graduation at the kids' school. My son was in 7th grade this year and the 7th grade Moms decorate the cafeteria for the reception. I love flowers and enjoy putting arrangements together so I had no problem volunteering for this job. I have to tell you I thought I was in heaven when I showed up that morning and saw all the buckets full of beautiful flowers that people from the community had donated. When we were done cleaning up afterwards I got to take a couple of the bouquets to enjoy in my own home. I still can't believe my son is going to be in 8th grade next year. It has gone by in a blur.

I thought I'd also show you a few of my bush and climbing roses. Since we live up so high and have clay soil, roses don't do very good for me. My climbers seem to do fine so I stick to them. Enjoy. xoxo K

Big hug for the birthday girl tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteLet us know if you're still planning on coming to the desert over the 4th and if you can make if here for the BBQ on the 5th
Your flowers are lovely. Of course you know I love the pink roses best! Happy birthday to your sweet daughter.

Oh my gosh...your garden is soooo beautiful! My best friend just moved up to Portland last month. We are going to go up and visit in August sometime and I can't wait!! Half because I can't wait to see our friends, and half because I am so excited to see Oregon. I know I am going to fall in love and not want to come home!
